I just got an email that said they are accepting apps right now and that I need to get mine sent in soon.

So I did the first step (via online), now have to fill out another "app" of sorts and send them the fee.

Bell, yeah I don't think I'll be going to Canada this time around. I'm not gonna lie to ya, I am bummed but knowing that you will be doing something that will better you and make you happy is a good trade off. I just don't think I'll have the time - because the rest of the summer will be spent doing household projects. You guys and your "household projects"! LOL Before it is all said and done you'll have a whole new house!!! :smilielol5:
The dates for training are July 7th - Aug. 15th!

Just got done with exercising. I did a "circuit training" video. Cals are under 1400 and water is good.

Today I did a cardio/toning video. I thought it was going to be just cardio, but nope, it was toning with weights and bands as well. I guess this section of the video I hadn't done yet (even though I thought I had done them all.) I guess I was wrong because this one really kicked my butt. I thought I was going to die. :p

Hopefully it will pay off soon. :D

Calories were a little high, in the low 1600's. But my water was good.

Tomorrow is my 16ht anniv. We are going to celebrate on Sat. going to a restaurant we were supposed to go to a few weeks ago, but then I got sick. I can't say that I will be good, because they are supposed to have to-die-for food.

However, I will get in all my exercise this week because I'm already there! Just have tomorrow, and then I will do exercise Sat. between basketball and the dinner.
 
Congrats on your 16th! That is extremely impressive to me. I say live a little, you can get back on track the next day.
 
Happy Anniversary! Nothing wrong with enjoying a special evening with special food - it's what you do day in, day out that matters a lot more. :)

Hope you have a great Anny weekend! Just remember that most any "weight gain" that you will see on the scale will be from salt not actual weight.

Of course today is the biggest snow day we've had by far this year. And it keeps coming! I'll be lucky to get out of the house tomorrow. ;)

Bell, we are going to a restaurant called the Boat House, it's in Winona Lake. Some place dh found while on a project.

The bands don't bother me as much as the plyometrics (energy bursts and such!) Those are killers. I can handle lunges, but it's when your jumping a little with a lunge that it becomes a killer.

Actually I think you are already catching up with me since I've been so lazy about my exercise until these last few weeks.

And yeah, what were you doing turning your head? LOL I can't imagine that they couldn't get a better pic with you actually looking at the camera, since they took 2! I guess we needed "the photographer" taking the pic. ;)

So far today I haven't exercised yet, but I have been exercising my fingers typing up a letter of intent for the head of our school, typing up a letter to the training center on why I want to come for training and what I plan on doing with it, and updating my resume (for the purposes of showing my experience - instead of doing it separately.) So I have been busy.

I made the family a lean version of meatloaf served with a salad for lunch. My youngest son commented that he loves snow days because I got to cook for them! :D

I do miss being the sahm just because of those kinds of small things that I don't always get to do due to time constraints. I mean I do try to cook when I can, but some days I just don't feel up to it - we call those a "fend for yourself meal." LOL

Well I've got to go do some staining or at least start on some of it and then exercise.

Just finished the core workout video I have (Denise Austin.) The first time around I didn't like it so much. I just posted a review of it at Collage video. Here it is:

I haven't done a workout on the ball in a long time. The first time around that I did this video, it was really hard to keep track of where Denise was going. She needs to have a better cue up time and show us how to do something before she does it. The video is challenging especially when it comes to keeping the ball where it should be. The 2nd time I did the video, I chose specific parts of it from the menu for my own custom workout.The "complete core challenge section" is just 18 min. of the previous sections combined. So you get a little of each workout in the 18 min. Otherwise, it's a good 45 min. workout if you just choose the other 3 sections and skip the "complete" section altogether. But if you are short on time the 18 min. is well worth it. If you can get past Denise's chipper attitude and the "we must, we must" when it comes time to work the chest muscles, then this will be a good core workout on the ball. I've worked out with Denise before, and I know eventually it will get "stale", but I'm always willing to give her a chance. :)

I think that this time around it definitely worked out better than the last time. I did the upper body/core and the "core complete" section plus warm-up for 38 min. total. I think from now on (unless I'm short on time.) I will just select the other 3 sections (15 min. each.) and forgo the "complete" section since it is just bits and pieces of the other 3 put together to make it "complete".

I do feel like I got a good workout this time around though.

So far food has been good. But tonight is my night out with dh. So, it's "splurge" time for me. ;) I will be as good as the menu allows. :drool5:
 
Yesterday dh and I went out for our anniversary dinner. It was fabulous!

We started out with a spinach queso dip w/ chips (I know so bad, but tasted so good!)
I ordered a potato encrusted baked cod w/ rice and veggies. I only ate a little of the rice, most of the veggies, and all of the cod (it was the best I've ever had.) I then splurged on a piece of reese cheesecake. Mmmm!

Dh had fillet mignon w/ a loaded baked potato. He ordered a salad, but couldn't eat any of it - and of course a piece of cheesecake only he ordered one called, tuxedo. It had white and dark chocolate. I had a bite of it and it was delish too!

I've never been to that particular restaurant, but it's definitely a keeper - especially for special occasions.



Today is my day off for exercise. But I did get some things accomplished. Like putting away my snowmen - cause I'm tired of seeing them up plus I needed to dust. I also helped a friend w/ her taxes.

I could go exercise, but I just feel like you need a day off once in awhile or you get burned out (at least that's how I feel.)
Dh is downstairs now exercising, which kind of makes me feel guilty. But he didn't exercise all week like I did. I am a little sore from yesterday's workout (which is a good sign!)

Bell gave me and dh some flowers for our anniversary. They sure brightened my day. Plus she added two little teddy bears - one had a little flower attached w/ a saying about friends and the other had a basketball (cause she said I'm a good Bball coach - course I think she's just saying that.)
She sure is a sweetheart! (Thank ya!)

Well tomorrow is a new day and the beginning of another busy week. Have a good one!

Well today I stepped on the scale and ugh...I was up! Of course I know it's from Sat. night because yesterday was fine except for the exercise. Today has been going well (food wise.) I'm headed off to exercise as soon as I'm done online which will be in about 10 min.

Well it's getting to me...I'm so angry with it I had to go workout on the elliptical extra hard tonight! :ack2:

Mine is too. Even though I no longer have the red devil I still get all the "extras". Bloating, grumpy's and tiredness. So mine is up as well.

Last night I did the toning workout - which was pretty awesome. I can feel it it my glutes today.

I just wish this weight would go back down. Maybe it's TTOM? I don't know, but usually it doesn't affect my weight (unless I eat too much salty foods and chocolate.) But even this time around I've been watching that.

Well got to go exercise as I've got to take my ds to a basketball game to play in the band tonight.

Yesterday I never did get around to exercising. I had phone call after phone call, then my ds decided he didn't want to go to the bball game to play. I don't blame him since something has definitely been going around again.

Anywho...I am so exhausted today and I just feel blah. That and my weight is still up. I had my weigh-in this morning and it was 174.5!!!! It was 171 the last time. :banghead: (the weigh-in for our "biggest loser".) I came home and weighed on my scale - dressed the same (boots and all.) And I weighed 175.5. But then I changed my clothes and re-weighed and it was 169.5. I know it's the evening, but still I'm up 2.5 lbs this week!

I am going to start tracking my sodium intake and get my water back up to where it should be. Hopefully that will kick it back to where it should be.

I so don't feel like exercising tonight but I know I should. I might just take this day off and get in my exercises this weekend.

I did however run around with the kids at school kicking a ball around and then throwing a football back and forth - so that should count for something. :toetap05:
 
I am so bummed my weight is still up this morning. I have changed sparkpeople so that I can track my sodium and it has been higher than recommended. Calorie wise, there was only one high day (besides last Sat.) But I also know that I haven't been drinking my water because I'm so thirsty when I wake up in the morning.

Today I go shopping with a co-worker for either a dress or an outfit for an upcoming dinner (got to be "cocktail" attire.) I'm just hoping to find something that doesn't make me look hideously huge.

I haven't exercised yet today - but it is on the agenda for this evening.

Where are you? Thanks for checking up on me in my diary. I am struggling with the weight and mine is up as well. In fact it is higher than the begining of the V-day challenge (6 weeks ago). It seems I have been gaining steadily since Christmas, we are now talking about a good 7 lbs.
I am scarred to gain everything back that I lost, so I am trying to turn this around and re-focus myself.
I am still going to the gym, but my food choices have not been so good. So I stopped baking sweets for DH since I couldn't keep myself away from it.
Also i allow myself to have a 100 cal worth "bad food" daily, which could be ice-cream, chocolate, pudding...etc.
Trying to keep busy at night so I won't have time munching. I am really good during the day, but at night ...
Hope to see you reporting your weight gain was just water!!!
