Definitely has the flu...grrr!

I have had a temp all day. Still coughing. Aches, chills, etc. For some reason though I'm craving snacky foods. Ugggh! :puke:

I thought when you were sick you didn't want to eat?

I haven't eaten much though so maybe it's just that I'm actually hungry? Anyway, I hope I'm better by tomorrow or I think I will take Mon. off just to have a recoup day.

Obviously no exercise today unless you count getting off the couch exercise. And sleeping on and off all day long? Blah!
 
Yesterday I didn't have a temp all day, but still was feeling achey. I figured that if I didn't feel better by 6 pm I was going to call in sick for today (because of the way the office and staff are set up, if we are sick in advance, they'd like to know in advance.)

But by about 4 pm I was feeling better. Not so achey and the fever never came back. Later on my co-worker called to see how I was doing. Because on Friday I told her I wasn't feeling to well and she knew my son had been out with it for 4 days.

I probably should've taken today off. My throat is scratchy from this dry cough. And my nose is stuffed. Plus I barely had a voice today. But I figured I'd just be cleaning here at home, so might as well do it elsewhere.

Then, when I got home I decided I felt well enough to get on the elliptical. So made supper and was on the elliptical for a little over 42 min.

Food has been pretty decent today too:

B: banana bread oatmeal (weight control), 1/4 C blueberries, coffee w/ creamer
L: cottage cheese, orange, and optima bar
S: 2 mini blueberry muffins (kids made them at school.)
D: stir fry veggies w/ brown rice
S: activia yogurt and 10 pretzels.
 
Forgot to mention that I joined a "biggest loser" competition at work. I think there are like 7 of us in it. It goes thru until March - and we each put $5 in. At the end the winner gets the pot.

Hope you are on the mend! Illness is not helpful when trying to lose weight.
Just be careful not to push yourself, you could end up feeling worse!

Do you have weekly measuring as well, or just once in the end. Who gets to win? More lbs lost or more % lost? What a great idea, I should do something like this at my work-place.

Hi everyone!

I didn't have a chance to get in here yesterday.

I had a 2 hr delay, so decided to get in my exercise since it would be a hard squeeze with my evening schedule (picking up a church member from dialysis.)

I was surprised I worked out as hard as I did, I wasn't planning on it, just going to take it easy.

Of course today I'm worn out. I'm so tired. I feel better as far as the stuffy head goes. It's still stuffy and I'm still coughing though. A few more days and I should be well.

I want to work out tonight, but I just don't feel like I have the energy. I basically just got home about 30 min. ago. And this is the first time I sat down today in my own house. I had just gotten home from work then had to turn around to leave for basket ball practice for an hour (I'm coaching. Ha!)

I have been on the elliptical for the past 2 days, but I feel like something different. But then again I don't feel like exercising.

Oh, and I'm down in the weight department. 168 is the new total! I stepped on the scale twice this morning just to make sure. :)

I feel kind of like a let-down as I haven't exercised since Tues. :( I am home now with a sick kiddo. And I have decided that I need to clean my house since it didn't get done last weekend (due to my own sickness.)

I am planning on exercising this evening after dinner though, just to keep on track.

Bell- I'm not really that good of a coach - we only got to scrimmage for about 5 min. the other night and I totally forgot to remind them to pass the ball. So we were just running from one basket to another. :banghead:

Good news is that the weight is still down, in fact it showed 167.5 this morning. I'm not going to officially record as of yet though.

Silly goose! Quit beating yourself up!
Your doing a fine job even Gil says so. Most importantly is you teaching them about Christ. And I know that you are doing that wonderfully! So KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Good news is that the weight is still down, in fact it showed 167.5 this morning. I'm not going to officially record as of yet though.
Well even if your not going to "officially" record it I am going to "officially" congratulate you!

I did have the same number this morning, so it's recorded. :D

However, today dh and I went out to eat and I didn't choose wisely, then we had popcorn at the movie theater. So I'm sure tomorrow it will be up, but I'm not going to sweat it. Except for during my workout! ;)

I finally got back on the elliptical today, but took it easy as I really started coughing while working out.

But, at least I did it.

I can't wait for all this phlegm to be gone so I can get back to normal.
 
Just got done with one of the videos. Man am I beat. I think this cold has still got me down. However, I gave it my all.

Off topic, at the school I work at we are having a "Winter Wonderland" dinner. It's "cocktail attire". I need to go shopping for a cocktail dress which should be fun. I wish I was more at goal weight because whatever I buy now will not fit later - unless I get it altered. But still, this kind of thing you don't get to do everyday.

I did my "biggest loser" weigh-in today. And with my clothes on and boots, I weighed in at 171. Not bad considering a few weeks ago that was my nekked weight. :p
 
Today was a good one.

I did my 30 min. on the elliptical. My cals are in the 1400 range. And it seems this cold is finally leaving my body. I can actually breathe!

So now I need to up the exercise routine again. I figure yesterday I did pretty well for not being able to breathe, because by the end I was out of all breath! Today though I didn't workout as hard as I could because I didn't want to be overdoing it again.

Well at work I found out that I get to go for training this summer to be a lead teacher! They will pay for it all (including travel and hotel.) The only bummer is that I will be gone for 7 wks. The good thing is that I will be about a 5 or 6 hr drive away, so it's not too bad if I want to come home on the weekend. And it's in St. Louis, so the family can come for a weekend visit and we can do some fun stuff.

I won't become a lead teacher for a few years though as it's a long process. The summer will be the first step, then a sort of internship, then another summer session, then more internship. And by 2 yrs from now, I should have my own classroom or be a co-teacher. :)

Well hopefully I get into the training program, I just got an email that said they are accepting apps right now and that I need to get mine sent in soon.

So I did the first step (via online), now have to fill out another "app" of sorts and send them the fee.

Bell, yeah I don't think I'll be going to Canada this time around. I just don't think I'll have the time - because the rest of the summer will be spent doing household projects. The dates for training are July 7th - Aug. 15th!

Just got done with exercising. I did a "circuit training" video. Cals are under 1400 and water is good.

Got to go take my shower!
