SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

I just signed up for the National Body Challenge put on thru discovery.com. I've signed up before, it's free, and it's more support. Hopefully between that and this board, I will have all the support I need.

Now I just need to keep the food fine tuned and keep on exercising.

School starts back up for me tomorrow (that is if it stops snowing.) And then I have to make time for exercise. It's easier when I don't work and I have nothing to do in the day, cause then I just do it when I feel like it - sometime after breakfast but before about 3pm. Ahhh the lazy days of winter (I'm lazier in the winter than summer...ha!)

Anyway, going to go "run" on the treadmill and have a salad for lunch (leftover fiesta salad I made for Bell's New Year's "bash"...Ha!)

Then, dinner will be something good, just haven't decided just what yet.

Yesterday I did the video with the weight workout. And my buns are sore today. :D Need to keep up the momentum.

Hey it sure was fun having you guys over last night. I don't that that I have ever had that much fun for New Years.
Sounds like you got a good game plan. Maybe we should call each other in the mornings before you head off to work. You know get the other outta bed thing so that we exercise. I know that I for one will sleep in 'til the last minute if there is no one there to "make" me get outta bed.
Let me know what you think about the idea. Like I could call one day and you call the next. Besides that I need to be getting up earlier just to get things accomplished around here. And if I am going to make it work on the BL Challenge than I better be getting all my exercise in.
Glad to have you back!!!
Ciao

Happy New Year!!
Hi, glad to see you back and posting!!
2008 is our year!!!
We are going to rock!!

Hey Bell,

Well that idea would be ok, but my new plan is to work out in the evenings. I have even switched from taking a shower in the morning to taking one at night so that I can't make any excuses for not working out.

1. I can sleep until the last possible min... :D
2. It is working so far.
3. You don't want me calling when I would have to get up to workout in the mornings...that would be 5:30 am in order for me to be to work by 8 and get a shower, food packed, etc. LOL

Saturdays I will probably still workout in the mornings though.

Hi Yarmiah and Hajni! Thanks for stopping by. :seeya:

Ok so far I've worked out all but today. I didn't work out today because I got up super early (5 am - should've went down and exercised then!) and I feel super tired this evening. I've been doing my exercise videos and got on the treadmill two days ago. I had gotten in 2.08 miles in 30 min. this last time. My goal is to do a little bit more each time I use it - or at least reach the previous target until I get my endurance up.

I just got another dvd. This one is Denise Austin, it's a core body workout on the exercise ball. I have a ball from a few years ago and haven't been using it much at all. So I thought I should get it back out.

Tomorrow I'm going to do the ball workout.

Sunday will be my day off.

Oh and good news, I'm down 2 lbs! That's after the holidays, so some of it could be just the holiday gain, but at least it's going in the right direction.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Great work with all that exercising! 2.08 in 30 minutes sounds great to me!

My husband bought those Power90X dvds and they are SUPER HARD! I think they are made for people who are already in good shape, I can only last like 40 minutes out of the hour-and-a-half some of the work outs are!

Congrats on the 2 lbs down!!! And congrats on getting your exercise in every day!! 2008 is our year SweatPea!!!
2.08 in 30 min is awesome... when I jog on the treadmill I do 2 mi in 27-28 min... you are going to beat me in no time!!!:smilielol5:
Have not done my turbo jam for ages now, I go to the gym more often and just use my treadmill, I have to dust off my work-out videos....
Have a great weekend!!

Hey G got me a ball and weights for Christmas and I have been looking for a dvd to use with them. Where did you get yours?
Well I gotta go. Mom is coming to visit and I need to get on the elliptical. See you tomorrow at Church. Don't forget they changed the service times!

I was going to get the P90x series, but decided against it for now.

Heya Hajni!

I get tired of doing the same workout all of the time, so I do switch up. Now hopefully I can just stay in this mode so that I can actually accomplish my goals.

I ordered the one I got at Amazon.com - it's called Denise Austin: Hit the Spot Core Complete. You might be able to get it for less at Overstock.com - or better yet, maybe Wally World carries it? I did see it at Sears yesterday for a little more than I paid, but then when you figure in shipping it's all the same.

Ok so the other day I didn't get any exercise in (the day I was super tired.) I told Bell on her thread that I would, but then I didn't after doing a lot of other things then just figuring it was too late in the evening for exercise.

I got on the elliptical yesterday for 40 min., burned over 400 cals. and did almost 6000 reps.

However, yesterday was not a good day in the food arena, so then of course my weight was back up. :ack2: I know, I know...it's not going to get me to goal if I just don't stick to it.

Today I didn't exercise, but I got a lot of other things done around the house that needed to be done (straightening the closet, putting away clothes, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen the way I like it to be cleaned, etc...)

My plan for working out this week is:

Mon. - cardio video
Tues. - Treadmill
Wed. - sculpting video
Thurs. - cardio video
Fri. - Elliptical
Sat. - Ball video
Sun. - rest. :)

Food will be on track within 1400 cals or less.

And drink more water (since this has really gone down hill.)

My husband got P90X...it is WAY HARD! But a great workout. It comes with a diet and everything, I just got so sore when I tried to do it for about 5 days. He is doing a good job sticking with it so far

Hi IWBT, That's pretty cool about your dh. Are you still doing the P90x workouts?

------------------------------

I just got done with my mixed video workout - has some kickboxing, toning, and cardio all mixed into 30 min. - 10 min. increments of each. Boy was I sweating after that (and during as well.)

Today's food:

B: Banana and string cheese, coffee w/ creamer
L: turkey rolled up in flatout w/lettuce and ranch dressing, vanilla yogurt w/ blueberries
D: Chicken seasoned w/ ranch seasoning, broccoli and cheese, 2 clementines (mmm! They were really good!)

Now I need to go plug it into Sparkpeople.

HI SweatPea!!! I can just feel the determination here!! Oh, you are doing so well!! Your exercise regime and food almost like mine. 1400 cals and I try to spice it up as well exercise-wise or I get bored and I won't do it. Keep on going, you will be seeing huge I mean HUGE losses... (weight loss that is). I kind of took Sunday off of food . I still try not overdo it but I am close to 2000 cals for the day... and of course I was up 1 lb on Monday morning but it was gone by this morning.. this way I did not feel deprived... OMG I just realized I forgot to PM the recipe. I am going to do it in this instant.
Have a great day!!!
Hajni

Hajni, You're so right. I'm really determined this go around. I don't know what hit me, but I know that I need to do something to get back to where I was.

Thanks about the PM, I will go look at it here shortly.

Today has been a good one. All except for at school there were like 3 or 4 teacher's and TA's out today due to illness! This is not good for a small school like ours. They couldn't even get subs to come in today.
I hope everyone is well by tomorrow because it really messes up my "schedule". I know the kids feel it a little too, because they seem off when a teacher is missing. But I don't get everything done that I plan to do.

I just got done with the treadmill.....2.12 miles in 30 min! That is up 4 tenths of a mile from the last time I jumped on (2.08 miles.)

Food was:

B: wheat bran flakes w/ soy milk, coffee w/ creamer
L: cottage cheese, raw veggies w/ dip, and a clementine
S: some of kiddos french fries from McDs - not too many, but still I'm counting them (I didn't order anything though, so that's a plus!)
D: frozen pizza dh had made, a few baby carrots
S: sf pudding w/ cool whip

Water: so far only 36 oz. but will get in some more before I "retire". :D

Way to go on the treadmill!!! That's awesome!
So sorry to hear that your day at school was a rough one. Hopefully everyone will feel back to their old selves tomorrow.
Catch ya later!

If your kid is Happy Meal age, the apple slices you can sub for the fries are actually really good (and high in calcium, because of the anti-browning stuff). I normally won't eat prepackaged cut fruit like that, but theirs are delicious - crispy and fresh and sweet.

Keep up the good work, Pea! Remember . . baby steps, that it won't happen over night. If you like the treadmill and it works for you, keep with it. Continue to add minutes, miles, intensity, etc. You will see the change and reap the benefits before too long!
