Surya's Weight Loss :)

okayyy... im starting tomorrow morning. i WILL lose all my excess 18kgs in 4 months... and since im aware of the plateau effect... im giving myself 6 months!!
tomorrow im going to start with uploading pics and entering my measurements, and then i'll update every week.
PRAY FOR ME EVERYONE!!
any tips and suggestions will be extremely welcome!
 
im extremely irritated!! why the hell cant i get started?? i overslept so didnt exercise in the morn... so i just ate and ate the rest of the day. ugh... tomorrow!! i WILL start.
 
here are my current measurements and weight...

weight: 70kgs

neck: 13"
upper arm: 11.5"
wrist: 6"
bust: 35"
below the bust: 31.5"
waist(at narrowest): 30"
belly(at navel): 35.5"
belly(at largest point): 38" (urk!!!)
but: 40"
thigh(at saddlebag level): 24"
knee: 14.5"
calf: 15"
ankle: 9"

ok my goal weight is to get to 52kgs. thats SLIGHTLY less than my ideal weight of 55kgs(i liked what i looked like at that weight).

i took two pics of me... which came UGLY... motivates me to lose weight. so... here i go :)

days left: 122
weight left: 18kgs or 39.6lbs
rate of weight loss: 0.15kg/day or 0.33lbs/day
rate of calorie burn: 1148/day

ok :) ive finally got started. wednesday to friday were going well, but i went off for the weekend, and hogged. but today was decent

diet
breakfast: 1 slice multigrain bread + omelette(175calories)
lunch: 1/2 paratha + raita(90calories)
dinner: kebabs, 2 tandoori rotis + dal makhani(650calories)
dessert: 1 chocobar(150calories)
TOTAL: 1035calories (+/-150calories)

exercise
morning: 500skipping
evening: 1hr 10mins aerobics + weights(for sides) + floor exercises(for upper abs, saddlebags and back)
 
okay. no exercise today. so im more than slightly pissed off.
anyway... my diet

breakfast: 1 banana (90 calories)
lunch: 2 rotis + spinach + dal (300 calories)
evening: 1pc aloo tikki (100 calories)
dinner: 2 rotis + dal + 1pc chicken (400 calories)
dessert: 1 small pc chocolate cake :'( (???200 calories???)
TOTAL: 1090 calories

breakfast: 1 glass skim milk (50 calories)
lunch: 1 paratha + 1/2 cup dal makhani(couldnt resist!!!) (250 calories)
dinner: 2 slices multigrain bread + omelette (260 calories)
TOTAL: 560 calories

exercise
morning: 500skipping
evening: 45mins aerobics + 45mins power yoga(owwww)

breakfast: 1 slice multigrain bread + omelette (175 calories)
mid morning :( : 1 samosa chaat (200 calories)
lunch: 1 paratha + raita (175 calories)
evening: 4 pieces chicken tikka + 2 rotis + few raw mango slices (350 calories)
TOTAL: 900 calories(hmm not as bad as i thought!! thank GOD!!)

exercise
morning: 500 skipping
evening: 45 mins stretching + exercises for back, saddlebags and back
 
today was a little... ok, EXTREMELY frustrating... i ate too much, and didnt do my daily skipping!! augghhhhh!! :( :( :(

diet
breakfast before exercise: 1 slice multigrain bread (65 calories)
after exercise: 1/2 slice white bread with mozarella cheese :( (100 calories)
lunch: 2 rotis + dal + veggies (225 calories)
evening: 1 slice multigrain bread (65 calories)
dinner: 1 turkey 6" sub + some dal (350 calories)
dessert: some ice cream(heaven!!) (250 calories)
TOTAL: 1055 calories

exercise
morning: 1hr 10mins aerobics + weights for sides + exercises for thighs, lower abs and back

You're not eating enough. Your body needs more energy than that to keep going. It will start eating away more muscle than fat.

Try to eat more. Your diet will fail if you are starving yourself, unless you plan on eating 800 calories per day, forever. (doesn't sound like a life that I would want to live, but I don't know about you)

I'm not trying to bash. I hope to help.
 
You are way undereating, and I know u may think that eating less will work best but its not the case. You may be on a roll now and it may seem like its working but you will fail pretty soon at it.

Your breakfasts are so tiny, girl, that should be the biggest meal of the day. Have a good healthy breakfast, eat eat eat. You cant possiblly believe that eating so little the way you are can last you long? Even if you lose the weight you want eating like you are, as soon as you start to eat normally again you will gain it all back and possibly double your weight.

You shouldn't eat under 1200 calories a day, you need food because it is your bodys energy, You are soon gonna be like a car without gas, you will go nowhere like that.

Keep the motivation up, I am far bigger than you but we gotta stick to it, you look good and with those few kilos off your body is gonna be banging.
But just make sure you are doing it right hun.
 
yea i know that :( and i know ive been eating badly... but im really worried that eating more wont give me results :( i know its a psycho attitude... but ive been fat all my life, and im absolutely fed up!!
 
You've got to make it so you can stay healthy long term!

You say your body burns about 2500 on daily activities! Even if you just drop down to 2000 and do a half hour of exercise everyday, you will lose just about 1kg per week!

You can do that! It's easy! You're not starving yourself and you're changing your lifestyle for weight loss!

You'll never keep up with it at the rate you are going now...
 
so far... pretty bad

diet
breakfast: 1 slice multigrain bread + omelette (175 calories)
mid morning: small cup coffee + some cake :( + 1/2 snickers bar (400 calories)
lunch: 2 rotis + veggies (225 calories)
dinner: too much :( chocolate shake, potato wedges with cheese, gooey chocolate fudge, 2 idlis with chutney and sambar (easily atleast 1200 calories)
TOTAL: 2000 calories :( :( :(

today's sunday... another no exercise. from tomorrow though, im going to exercise everyday... try swimming or something on the weekends, or atleast skip. and im going to track everything i put in my mouth... even sips of water.

diet
breakfast: 1 salami sandwich(multigrain bread) (200 calories)
lunch: 2 rotis + veggies (200 calories)
snack: a handful of grapes (50 calories) i resisted a chocobar icecream for this(pats self on back)
snack 2(siiiigh): 1 munch + 1 bowl wai wai noodles :( (400 calories)
dinner: a slice cake + lots of chinese food (1000 calories... hopefully not any more than that- cousin's bday)
TOTAL: 1850 calories

ahhh... i know i dint need to stuff my face with the 2nd evening snack... i wasnt even hungry! i should have more self control! ugh! im sick of myself!!!

im going on a detox diet tomorrow.

Be careful with the detox. I don't know what you're planning, but don't cut your calories too low.

Eat at least 1200. Eat healthy foods and snacks in moderation. You can do this!!

Don't be irrational, and don't beat yourself up when you have a bad day! You're working towards a goal, you won't be able to reach that goal if you spend every day being mad at yourself for what you have done.
 
ahhh... i couldnt start my detoxing today... but tomorrow i will, for SURE!!!
missed out on my skpping today as i overslept :'( and missed going for my aerobics as well! augh!!

anyway

diet
breakfast: 1 slice multigrain bread + omelette (175 calories)
lunch: samosa chaat + 1 glass coke :( (300 calories)
dinner: nachos + salsa (i'm guessing 150 calories)
dessert: ice cream(im getting my dairy this way :D) (150 calories)
TOTAL: 775 calories
 
we weight exactly the same!
and we have lost the same too haha I started at 76.
andd.. I want to get down to 54 so I have 16 kg to go
we have very similar stats.
we should be fitness buddies and :D help each other out LOL


let me know how you feel on your detox diet. I've been thinking on getting in one with mostly green tea and fresh veggies and fruits, just for a week.
