Supplements??

I'm just curious. I read these good articles and then when you get near the end they have this entire section on supplements to help you increase your recovery/growth faster. some examples include creatine, or this carbon something ). Isn't that just like steroids?

Im not an expert. but i no there is a difference between supplements and steroids. its liek protein, any1 who doesnt no anything about fitness automatically say protein is a drug and its not good for you, but its actually just like having alot of chicken or fish, but because you need some extra protein to your diet they have supplements, creatine and so on are usually just amino acids and stuff, some help grow muscles some help stimulate metabolism, if you can buy it at your local health shop im pretty sure its not steroids.
btw if your take steroids you will be able to tell, you will look like arnold swartzenegar (cant spell),
anyways thats what im led to believe
(PS im not an expert or anything)

There are people who think *protein* is a steroid? Bwahaha. We're made of proteins, and so is most of our food.

Steroids are a type of supplement which are hormones and trigger monumental changes in your body's chemistry. Your body produces many steroids naturally (like tesosterone and estrogen). Even cholesterol is a steroid, and that's in your food.

When people talk about steroids they're usually talking about anabolic steroids, or, steroids that make your muscles grow.

Regular supplements can range anywhere from creatine (which is found naturally in your muscles), to Vitamin C (which is in your oranges), to MSM (a sulfur found in your joints). You give your body more of what it already has, in some cases, so you can repair better, feel healthier, perform better, etc.

Anabolic steroids are, for the most part, illegal -- but most supplements are legal and safe to use.
