SunnyDee's Diary

Ugh... I ended up eating a burger and fries for supper at the mall and now my tummy feels bad. :( On the bright side, it was extra motivation to buy only healthy foods when I went grocery shopping. Got lots of fruits and veggies and stuff to make healthy meals all week.

Don't worry about the supper... your tummy feeling bad is probably a good sign, that you're used to eating healthy. I've started feeling the same way, if I eat food that isn't all that healthy (like the popcorn shrimp last week that I deep-fried... had to eat it to get it out of the house though :))
Congrats on your almost reaching your goal! I've seen you comment on my diary, thanks for the support.

:cheers2:Hiya Sunny!!
Thanks for stopping into my diary!! I have been wondering how you have been.

I will read back your diary soon...

I absolutely have been more mindful of how fried food affects my body--and it's been THUMBS DOWN. I usually order something, then am like, Ugh I feel like shit--WHY did I do that?!? Glad it's inspirational, though :D

You're right. I don't eat fried food very often, so my body HATES it when I do! :puke: So I don't plan on doing that again anytime soon.

Hi hun! I've been great, thank you. :)

Anytime I go to a restaurant and don't substitute fries for a salad, I look at my plate when it comes out and think "What the hell was I thinking? SALAD! Always pick the salad!" Fried foods are a killer. I can honestly say I was never much of a fried foods person, even before trying to lose the weight. Having the bowel issues is partly to thank for that, of course.

What a week. I had a great 5 days with Laura! And am proud to say, despite the fair amount of eating out we did, I did not gain a pound. :) In fact, I weighed myself today to find that I am now at 148. Only 3 more lbs to be back at my goal weight! I wont be changing my ticker until the end of the month though. After my good times with Laura, I had to work 4 shifts in a row. The combination of my late nights with Laura and my compressed work weeks has left me pretty exhausted. I came home from my night shift yesterday morning and slept until 5:30pm, then was back in bed by 2am. So I hardly ate anything yesterday. But I had some eggs and wholegrain toast this morning and just finished some turkey slices and a giant fruit salad for lunch.

So now it's time to get some housework done and go to the library to pick up some good reads for my 4 days off.
I'll be hittin' diaries later too.

Yeah, it's great! I was tempted to weigh myself again today, but I refrained. I will weigh myself at some point over the weekend though.

I've done well today with eating - lots of fruit. Also, Matt and I went for a jog today and then it started raining on us. We got a good workout nonetheless.

Meanwhile, I think my cat is going insane! She's been really whiney the past few days and has taken to scratching up the carpet, even though I've been spraying her with water. She just seems crabby and weird. It's like she won't settle - she just keeps roaming around, sniffing at everything and meowing. It makes me sad :( I'm wondering if she may be on the verge of going in heat. She's not making those howling noises though, just normal sounding meows. She's a little over 4 months, and they usually go in heat by 6 months. So maybe the poor kitty is just horny. I guess we all get a little hard to live with when we're hard up. :p Anybody who has a cat or knows anything about horny and/or cranky kittens, give me a hand here!

About to head out for a jog, then coming home to get cleaned up for a day of shopping. I need new fall clothes badly. But, considering I started paying back my student loan yesterday, I'm gonna have to try my best to be a cheapo.

Hmm, my cat was a neutered male when I got him at 1 year old. I can't help you there--poor pussy!

Congrats on the fruit-consumption and jog with Matt--would your family pitch in for some new clothes, maybe?

Hey there :)

Awww. The joys of paying back the student loan :) I know I will be experiencing that here in a couple of years myself... Great job on the jogs.

Something just occurred to me...
I always wish that I could be that person who just doesn't want things that are bad for me. I've always had willpower - I can fight cravings and put down the junkfood when I know I've had enough. But some people just don't seem to be drawn toward the crappy food in the first place. So this just occurred to me - I, inadvertently, have not had any form of junkfood in over two weeks. I wasn't making any conscious effort - I just haven't wanted it! In fact, the only real junkfood I can recall having in an entire month was that burger and fries I had a while back and some M&M's at a movie. I find this fascinating... Maybe I am becoming that person!

On top of that, I have also not had any alcohol since Aug 30, when I had one beer at the Oasis concert.

All that being said, I'm still sitting at 148. But I'm fairly sure I'm experiencing some water retention. I'm not in any hurry. I'd just like to be down to 145 by the end of October.

:hurray:Hell ya!!!!:hurray:

The weight will follow. I noticed my weight didn't "notice" that I was doing really well for about a week, so you'll see 145 lbs soon, I'm sure of it!!!!! :D

"I think you have a weird sense Val! You seem to ask for me just as I show up."

 I know! Whaddup with that??? ;)

Yes, I have faith that the weight will come off soon enough! I won't fret. The only thing that would make me fret a little would be to have my weight creep back up into the 150s. Obviously, I know that once I reach 145 I won't stay 145 forever. My weight will still fluctuate by a few lbs here and there, no matter what. So staying below 150 is all I'm asking!
