SunnyDee's Diary

Well my second semester of college I brought my GPA up from a C, a D, and 2 Fs to straight Bs after not drinking a drop first and getting drunk just about every night second semester. I'm to this day convinced I was blacking out and studying during those blackouts. Maybe you could try something like that.

I've been having a bad tummy off and on all day. :( I'm a little worried about myself. It's like there's a painful pressure in my lower left abdomen... almost feels like something is going to burst. That happens to be where my bowel ulcers have been located in the past

:( Oh man now I'm worried about you--and the MCAT and all! Please make as wise of decisions as you can muster and take care, study hard, get lots of rest!!!! (this coming from me ;)

Cannon, that sounds like something I could try! :D Well, if I take your advice and then I end up failing the MCAT, I'm holding you responsible. :p Heehee.

Don't worry, Val. I'll try to take it easy. The pain has subsided for now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it won't come back. If it's still there in the morning, I'll go get looked at. :)

Glad to hear the pain has subsided. You should definitely go get it looked at if it's back - better to get it now :) Hope you feel great tomorrow!

I feel fine today. :) A little bloated for some reason, but fine. So it's another looooong day of studying... can't wait.

I joined the August Goal Challenge yesterday and set four goals for myself for this month.
1. Get back to 150 by August 31
2. Increase my water intake by 1-2 glasses per day
3. Eat more fruit
4. Go running at least 3 times per week.

Sounds reasonable, right? I've been a slacker lately, so I didn't want to go too ambitious. I wouldn't have reached any really hard goals. I just don't have the time, for one thing. I'm pretty much devoted entirely to studying until August 16, so even taking 30 mins out of my day to go for a run is hard to manage sometimes.

Speaking of which, I'm about to head out for a run in a few mins. Another cool day to take advantage of.

As usual our goals are about the same!! Hope you have a great run. I hear you on taking any time off right now for exercise too! I am waiting till the 18th. Again so close. Good luck with your goals!!:)

Thanks guys! I know I can accomplish those goals. If not, you can all kick my ass. :p

My run was really nice. Left me feeling very awake and ready to tackle the books! Now I'm taking a short break and then studying Biology for a few hours. I love when I get to study Biology... so much less stressful than Physics and Chem. lol

You set very realistic goals. These are always the best 'cause they're not hard to reach and make you feel satisfied and motivated!

Ah, I hate Physics too...Too many rules...

Put the books under your pillow - the information will just seep into your brain... :D
That would make me so happy. It would give me an excuse to sleep all day long, which would be my dream. :D

Ah, I hate Physics too...Too many rules...

I know! Too many stupid rules. And what's with these stupid problems where something always occurs "in a vacuum" or "in a cylinder closed at one end", etc? And people try to say that physics is a practical science... I dunno about you, but I don't spend a lot of time dealing with things in vacuums or cylinders closed at one end...

Good job with the run, Sunny. :) I'm sure you'll breeze your way through the MCATs. I love Bio, Chem and Physics. Funny enough, I'm a big Physics nerd. lol

Hey Sunnydee. I saw your goals for Aug.31st and they sound very reasonable. I know you can make them happen. Sorry you have to study so much. It would be so nice to just absorb the textbook. I don't mind studying Biology either but, Chemistry and Physics definitely take more effort from my brain (definitely the math and rules, lol).

Hope your having a great day and an awesome weekend!!!

-Sam:)

Oh Dee study hard, I'm sure you'll do great on the MCAT!!

I hope your tunmmy is OK.

You'll get back to 150, don't worry--just focus on nutrution more, since you don't have too much time to exercise. :)

Hey Sunny ..

Thanks for you vote of confidence in me.. I appreciate all your kind words

Hey Sunny,

Congrats on the refreshing run. When I was in college, I took really brisk walks before hitting the books, so I wouldn't fall asleep. It worked like a charm but I was also studying really late at night.

Your goals sound really reasonable. I'm sure you'll make it happen.

Hey Sunny,

I know you haven't been around because you're up to your neck in studying Bio, Physics, blah.. blah blah. Just wanted to drop in wishing you luck with the MCAT.

Hey Sunny! I'm trying to get back to my ticker weight myself. Sucks to backslide, eh? But what can we do except try again, as you are admirably doing :). The August goals sound great and totally doable yet challenging too.

Talk to you when you take a study breather. BTW, what are you studying? I just popped in on your diary so forgive my ignorance.
