SunnyDee's Diary

Matt and I lazed around in bed all morning. Didn't get up til around 1! I haven't stayed in bed that long since I can't remember when.

I long for those days again! Now-a-days, my husband and I lay in bed as quietly as we can, hoping our son will fall back alseep - NEVER WORKS! We do, however, have a night out this Friday - so the boy will be having a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We'll have good intentions of sleeping in. But I can pretty much guarantee you, we'll be wide awake by 7:30am! Never fails.

Have a great day! Are you in Ontario yet? Soon, I know that much.

I'm still alive! I just didn't come on yesterday because I was being a lazy ass. Saturday night was sweeeeet. A good time was had by all! Or so they tell me. ;) Heehee. I'm kidding. I didn't go overboard. It was a blast, that's for sure!

Just got back from a great workout at the gym.

Hey, get this - we have a mouse! And no, I don't mean a pet mouse. I mean the unwanted kind. Vermin, if you will. ARGH! Laura and I have been hunting the little bastard all day. We have sticky traps out, but the SOB skirts the damn things like a pro. There's a pest control guy coming tomorrow. I feel terrible because he's one of the cutest things I've ever seen (the mouse, not the pest control guy). I don't want him to die. But I also don't want him defecating in my cupboards and chewing holes in my belongings! *sigh* It's a double-edged sword.

I didn't get to have breakfast today. :( I was fasting til 11:30 for blood work. I was ravenous by the time it was over. I felt like taking a bite out of the old lady sitting next to me in the waiting room.
Lunch
1/2 a roast beef sandwich (whole wheat bread, spinach, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard)
Grapes
Apple slices
Canteloupe slices
Vanilla yogurt for dipping fruit

Supper
Garlic shrimp stirfry

Snacks
1. Other half of the roast beef sandwich
2. Bowl of popcorn

Hey Sunny,
It sounds like a good time was had :)

As for the mouse, what about a catch and release type arrangment?
(Not sure how well those traps work)

My cat is really handy for that sort of thing (mouse-catching). I almost forgot that he is supposed to be good for that--until he stunned a field mouse that had sneaked in a few months ago. The boys took the mouse out and executed him with a bee bee. The field mice that come in our house are as huge as rats and one was so burly, Oliver bludgeoned him and he still got away--leaving blood on the moulding. Gross!

Good luck! Glad you're doing well--I wasn't but I'm back on track today!

I have advice!!! Pick Me, I have advice!! When I have an unwanted pest, I put the sticky traps in a door way. Usually the kitchen, all the way across. at some point it will cross and you've got it!!;)

Yeah mice are cute but their poo everywhere aint!!!
I had a pet rat for 3 years once............I love him and 3 years is like 100 for a rat! I like the catch and release like M2M said..........but if ya gotta kill em......well ya know! Sunny good job on the work outs!!! It really helps to speed things up eh???
have a greatday sunnygirl!!!

Hey Sunny-
Just stopping into say hi.
Good luck ridding yourself of the mouse. I used to get them in my old house (I could hear them in the walls at night...creepy). Peanut butter was always a sure lure to the traps.
Jen

Thanks for all the mouse advice everybody. We still haven't caught the little bastard! I'm definitely gonna try what Mechelle said and put a line of traps right across the door way of the storage room. That's where he was hiding yesterday. There are 6 sticky traps laid out, in the very spots you would think a mouse would go! And they're all baited with peanut butter. Still no mouse. Yeah Jen, I heard PB was supposed to do the trick. This little bugger must be a super-mouse. He's sooooo tiny, so I cant see it being possible that he wouldn't get stuck on them if he had walked over them. They can stick huge rodents. I wish I had a cat. That would do the trick. Well, the poor thing is doomed eventually. My landlord is pretty insistent about the exterminator because he figures if there's one, there's probably more. He's probably right. Poor mousey!

Mal's juggling challenge is officially driving me insane. I thought "What is she thinking? This is insane." As it turns out, she knows exactly what she's doing... she knew what this would do to us. We'd think: Ok, I'll practice for 10 mins and get it over with. A half hour later, I'm on a violent rampage, cursing my brains out, ready to destroy every approximately sphere-shaped thing in the house!!!! I will learn to juggle, dammit. I WILL LEARN TO JUGGLE! *sobs hysterically*

On a brighter note... you know what I like? The fact that even when I step on the scale in the middle of the day with all my clothes on, I no longer have to worry about being in the 160s. What a fabulous feeling!

OOOPS _ i really meant for it to be fun :) not make you insane - :D though coming over to the dark side of insanity is alittle fun :)

Fabulous! I don't blame you!

I can juggle, not particualrly well. My two male friends encouraged me to keep trying--and I was SOOOOOO frustrated. But suddenly--I could juggle! Crappily! Keep practicing and you WILL be able to do it!

hey! i've missed your pretty face! feels like i haven't seen you in forever! :)

and i can't juggle. i'm not that talented! :D

But I'm completely obsessive-compulsive about things like this. If I feel like I can't do it, then I have to do it just to prove myself wrong. lol

Oh, could you video and youtube the learning process?
This could be fun to watch!!

::: ducking :::

Grrr.... :p
Actually, I possibly have the best youtube video ever. It's a video from Saturday night... need I say more? Probably not, but I will anyway. I was dancing to "Baby Got Back" and my friends, who are all unnaturally obsessed with my ass, convinced me to let my ass-dance be recorded. It's freaking hilarious. And mild to moderately embarrassing. My roomie wants to put it on youtube. We'll see.

Don't hurt yourself learning!!:D
That's why I'm currently only using balled-up socks. For the safety of myself and those around me!

I learned using scarves SunnyD
they float gently through the air and you have time to catch them :)

This is the woman I practice with :) Megan is the one on the far left.
