Summer's Weight Loss Jouney!~

Hey everyone,
I'm Summer. I'm 16 years old and am very unsatisfied with my weight. And I'm sure everyone has experienced high school, and a lot of people know the pressure it has on teens.. =[
So, this Summer I have decided to do something about it. I weight about 175-180 pounds. But I don't weight myself, because it just discourages me.I tend to go by sizes...and right now I'm a size 13..=p My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds in 10 weeks,(I want to be a size 9 when the Summer ends) about 2 and a half months right??. And I know it's possible, but I just have to actually apply myself to it..with is harder said than done.
Right now, I just started Tae Bo..it's kind of hard at first..Anyways what I do a day is about 45 minutes of Tae Bo, and 50 minutes of Dance Cruncher..Also I'm eating healthy.

So this is sorta like a weight loss journal...I'll update soon.

good luck summer, i am joining the fight maybe we can keep each other strong. I think if I am going to make it I need a lot of support so I am here to support others!

Right now I'm doing good. I've stuck to exorcising and I've been eating pretty healthy. But I am having just one problem....many people say that you shouldn't cut back on calories because it won't help with weight loss.

This is an example meal:
Breakfast
1 cup plain warm tea
1 piece of bread with 1 tsp jam (123 calories)
Lunch
1 cup plain warm tea
2 cups of chicken and vegetable soup
(190 calories)
Snack

1 thick slice (3 oz) cantalope
(30 calories)
Dinner
1 cup plain warm tea
Rice with Stir Fried Green Beans &
Ground Beef (275 calories)

I should be eating more. I know. I don't know how much though. Because if I eat 1200 calories a day I'm fine. I feel full. And I've been eating that many calories a day for a long time...But does counting calories throw you off? =/

Keep your chin up girl!! You Can Do It!!! :hurray:

I have a hard time with not cutting back on the calories too. But yes we are not going to be able to eat so low forever, and when we start eating more, we eventually gain. Also in time you can become VERY Exhausted, and that's not good at all.

You'll be happier if you eat more. Slow & Steady. Do you feel like you're being too restrictive?
 
I don't feel like I'm being restrictive at all. And I have tons of energy!
But I'll add some calories( I don't want to be unhealthy) Thanks.

Warm tea just before a meal makes me less prone to over-eat. It sort of fills me up.

Hi! Did you post your height? Your calorie intake sounds a little low based on all of the exercise you are doing.

That said, you are on the right track! Keep it up, and you will see the results of your hard work.
