I have heard people talk about a 5x5 program. I hear a lot of good things about it if your trying to bulk up. My question is what does the 5x5 mean? Does it mean 5 sets of 5? Any info on this program would be greatly appreciated.
5 sets consisting of 5 repetitions in each set. I've never tried it but have heard great things, IMO~>, I like to get in a lot of different exercises so if I was to do 5 sets of 5 reps of each I would be really overtraining.
My fav version of the 5X5 program revolves around splitting up bodyparts-chest/back, legs, arms, shoulders
Pick 4 exercises for each bodypart so that you get a total of 100 direct reps for each muscle group.
