Strategies to beat Emotional Eating

I have lots of healthy habits - but my downfall is emotional eating! Sometimes I feel so guilty about it, one binge because two or three days worth of stuffing my face!

I would LOVE to know what you all do to avoid eating out of boredom or because of feeling lonely, sad or anxious.

Things that have worked for me in the past (and things I need to start practicing more often)

- Going for a walk with soothing music
- Having a hot bubble bath (especially on days where I come home from work wanting to eat junk)
- When I'm tired/stressed at work sometimes I'll just go for a drive and listen to music or park somewhere pretty and rest my eyes for a few minutes to destress

What are your tips? I could use some more suggestions?

You might find it helpful to read the book called When Food is Love. Its about overeating and emotional eating. This might help you give up the guilt. I think its important to be able to let go of guilt about over eating.

Just do it and move on. Guilt just drags you down further.
