Getting in here and reading/posting IS time consuming! I'm lucky I can make the time a few days a week.

My scale is messing with me this week, too, so I understand how you feel! I KNOW what I'm doing is helping SOMEHOW. I think I should take some measurements today so that when the scale isn't showing anything, the measurements WILL. (hmmm - note to self - have hubby take a pic too!)

Thanks ladies...Its amazing everytime I come back here the phenomenal support you all give! Thanks so much. Feelin poopy today cuz i didnt make the gym as it snowed like crazy here yesterday...did some shoveling & plan to do more today & go for a walk in it w/ the baby (pulling him in the sled) So that should help my lack of endorphins. I never thought ID say this but Im addicted to the gym...its the only place I feel like I have some control..its certainly not in front of the fridge :-D

Im trying ladies...I just talked to my trainer today cuz i have issues w/ my eating more on the weekends & I think that might be stalling my weight loss...so she wants me to start a program for my weekends & work out at home..I think i need to do that as i think when i work out i eat better :-D
 
Hey lovely ladies..Im back at least for the moment! I had my first personal training session & loved it..Im sore already :-D She is changing some things around for me & it turns out im working too hard & over my fat burning heart rate..so that will change some things. I hope you are all well!
 
Hey Sweetie sorry I havent been in here for a while but wanted to come in and say good morning. Hope your new plan works for you. You do workout alot so shes probobly right.

Great news on the trainer session! I have to say they're pretty good. I am thinking of switching mine as I don't think she fully understood my goals. Good luck with your new program! :)
 
Thanks ladies. This specific trainer has been kind of taking me under her wing since i started there..she is so energetic & positive & really inspires me on days I have no energy or drive. She has lost almost 70 lbs & kept it off for like 10 yrs... so she knows what it is like. She is in amazing shape & totally is my hero. I love working w/ her & she encourages me & pushes me to do stuff that i was really intimidated to do. I am actually in the "big boy" weight room now doing stuff...never thought Id darken that door ever!

I never left you guys... I just never seem to have time..but this site & all of you inspire me so much to keep pluggin on that i just cant stop comin here. Went to the gym this am & had a great workout..45 min cardio at 85% & then did 40 min of weights/strength training, etc then 20 min of stretching. My nemises at the gym..well, i have 2...one is an ab stand that you stand on & lift your legs up while supporting yourself only w/ your upper body...I am pathetic at this..but today I saw a mild improvement...very mild but ill take it. I have another nemesis..its the chin/dip assist machine... I have a really hard time lifting myself up on one of the arm holds at all... but today it was a bit better & i got in 6 (pathetic but they were better) reps & you have 3 different arm holds that work different muscles then you have one that works the back of your arms & you dip down & push up until your arms are almost straight. It is really tough but such a challenge. I never thought Id be doing these things ever ..or feeling so comfortable at a gym. I see my trainer & I wanna run up to her & tell her everything Ive done like a little kid telling his mom about something exciting. she is always so excited for my progress & so freekin positive! Its amazing!
Im going down in my basement today & setting up my own gym downstairs so I can workout tomorrow am too, since i cant get to the gym on saturdays.

Hey, take that word pathetic out of your vocabulary - you have to admit you've come a LONG way so far! In fact, you could probably run circles around most of us here now hehehe! :p

Wow Kat your trainer sounds so amazing and so do your work out improvements! I honestly can nto fathom that I would be bale to do any chin dips or the ab-stand. Although you are now making me remember that I wanted to get back at trying to train on the ab-stand. So thanks! :) Keep us posted you are doing SO great!!
 
Thanks you guys...wow, me an inspiration..who woulda thunk it! I have to say I amaze myself as to where Im at...but then I get overwhelmed when i think of where I want to be at times...but I just keep thinkin that everday at the gym is one day closer to that goal. We had chinese food last nite so Im feelin a little guilty but i didnt overdue it & my cal were still w/in reason for yesterday. Im gonna workout here today when the baby goes to sleep...gotta get in 6 days a week for this bod.
The ab stand is really tough...probably tougher than the chinup machine actually... because you are supporting yourself 100% w/ your upper body & core...which looks easy when you watch someone do it until its you up there!
My trainer is fantastic & she has been in the "overweight trenches" herself so she understands why its so hard. I never thought id say it ...but Im happier at the gym than anywhere...and I used to say that about bakeries :-DLOL
