Okay I really need to get serious about this. I need to lose 40 pounds and I need to run 1.5 miles in 12:30. Those are my more immediate goals, others include toning up, getting better at pushups, and feeling better about my body. I've given myself till September '09 to lose the weight but the 1.5 needs to be ASAP so no goal there.
A little bit about me: I'm 19 and a college sophomore at a service academy (USNA), so I don't have time to do anything, especially during this next year. I'm taking 22 credits, majoring in Chem and minoring in German and Russian. But I need to get in shape and I need to stop making excuses. I love swimming and I hate running, but I have to for my school, which is really unfortunate. I love reading but I don't get time during the year because I'm so busy. I also don't get to leave the campus much so it's not like I can use drinking as an excuse for weight gain. But I will blame it on the food. The food at school is definetly not vegetarian friendly (of which i've been for 7 years). It's filled with carbs and cheese and usually I'm so hungry by the end of the meal that I fill up on dessert which I can eat. But this year I'm trying to get a fridge (laugh I know you want to, what type of college doesn't allow fridges!) and hopefully that will help me nutrition problem.
So for working out right now I'm trying to the workouts in Fitness Magazine. So starting yesterday till August 20th I'm doing the Flat Abs and Sexy in Shorts moves every day, the 20 min workout on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and the Drop a Jean Size workout on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Plus while I'm home I'm walking a 2.2 mile stretch with my mom who is trying to lose about 75 more pounds. This may sound like a lot but I'm really used to working out it's just I don't lose weight and I want to change that. To help keep track of everything I'm going to use this and my FitDay account which I've done for the past 3 days and keep my calories between 1200-1500 cals a day. There will be some days where I'll go over like my cousin's wedding this weekend, but a couple of days every now and then are okay, I don't want to get so stuck in it that I fail and keep gaining.
I'm home until the end of this week and then starts summer school, so I'll be working out more because there is really not a lot to do. But I'll put that plan up at the end of the week.
So here are my starting stats:
Height: 5'8"
CW: 173
GW: 135
Waist - 30.5
Hips - 44.5
Bust - 37.5
thigh - 27
Arm - 14
neck - 12.75
Hope that wasn't too long and I'll meet some new people and get some support! thanks for reading!
