I can't verify the effectiveness of the activity; it is certainly worth a shot. However; I read a few pages saying " you can lose 3 or 4 inches off you waist in just a few short weeks with this activity". That's untrue; unless your doing cardio...
Yeah i read the same thing and was sceptial, im not really bothered about losing inches, more about toning and defining abs...ill let you know how i get on with them!

I consider holding it in 1 rep. I do 4 sets of anywhere between 30-45 seconds of holding it in. I normally do it laying on my back. I know some folks like to do them standing. You can also do them sitting at your desk at work!
I think it helps to strengthen and tone the abs some.
Heh, when I first saw "stomach vacuum" my gut reaction (*chortle*) was that it was a post about some quack device that was supposed to "suck" the fat out of your stomach through the skin
I'm glad that it's not. This exercise looks interesting, surprised I'd never heard of it before. Good to find one that I can do while at a computer!
