Stiffening up as I get older, advice?

As I get older I noticed that I am stiffening up. I'm in good shape for 43 but my mobility is starting to slow me down just a bit. Anyone have any advice on how to regain my mobility?

I do some leg stretching before I jog but thats about it. Should I start a regular stretching routine or a range of motion routine? I don't know what I need to do.

Anyone have a routine that can help?

Thanks
Bob

I hear foam rolling is great for mobility. I don't know much about it other than that, though. Do you lift with full ROM? I've noticed that my mobility is great because I use pretty much full ROM on all my lifts...but then again, I'm a youngin, lawl.

static stretch only AFTEr workout, not before. Do dynamic stretches before workout.

thats a pretty good breakdown of the different types. Be sure to check out the dynamic stretches and read how to use them.

ROM= Range of Motion. i.e. when bench pressing do you go all the way to the top and slower lower all the way toward the chest or do you go 80% in both directions?

I don't understand what you mean by mobility...do you mean it is harder to go running or it is harder/more painful to do something like a military press?

mobility i guess he is not as flexible as he used to be, its something that happenes with age.

Lets say he used to be able to kick his leg as high as his head, but cant anymore. He has lost mobility.

Yep just can't bend or move with the ease I use too as well as less flexible.

Well, being the same age as you, Wherebob, I think you've discovered the means to at least slow down the loss of mobility: regular exercise.
