Stickin' to it

Its so aggravating when you know you're doing everything right, but the scale is still in denial.

It must have been so satisfying to get an size 8 dress. I'm around the same place as you in the pants department. Some 11/12's no longer fit 100%, but 10's don't always fit, either. I found one pair of tens that fit quite well, so I bought them a little while ago. They are just a tad snugger than I want them, but I find it so deceiving since most of the pants I have are looser than they should be. I'm kinda getting used to low slung loose pants, so its hard to go back to regular fitting pants. LOL.

You're doing good, hon. I'd love to play volleyball, but I haven't played since high school gym class. LOL. If I get in better shape, I might just get up the courage to find some beer-league sport to play in. That would be a major stretch for me as it is!
 
Today's Weight: 154.6

This is the lowest I have weighed.. in about 1.5 years I guess and definitely the lowest since starting this journey.

I am still extremely sore from my workout on Monday. I am not sure how running is going to workout today because my legs and abs are terribly sore. I hope I can make it work and run some of the soreness out!

Yesterday's Food:

Breakfast
Fiber One Honey Clusters
Skim Milk

Lunch:
2 tbsp Smuckers Organic Chunky PB
2 tbsp low sugar smuckers grape jelly
2 slices nature's own whole wheat bread

Dinner:
Kirkland brand turkey burger

2 tbsp Ketchup
2 tsp Mustard

Snack:
1 Klondike Slim-a-bear ice cream sandwich


Exercise:
25 minutes on the elliptical
.6 miles around the track at the gym
then strength training chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps

Bench press:
1 set 10 reps 75 lbs
1 set 5.5 reps 85 lbs
Decline Press
1 set 6 reps 85 lbs
Incline Press
1 set 6 reps 75 lbs
Dumbbell Chest Flys

I know what you mean, I bought a pair of capri pants the last weekend in March and they are starting to be less perfectly fitted.. they are actually seeming a little loose. I hope this is for real! LOL

I played vb in high school as a sophomore, I was on the Varsity team and a starter :O Now I play parks and recs and it's not one of the outdoor sand teams where we can drink, but it's fun nonetheless. I have been playing for a few years on the parks and recs team and absolutely love it.
 
Tash, you remind me so much of myself, it's not funny. I too have the problem of investing in a new wardrobe and getting to small for it a month later. It's great yes, but money wise, it gets a bit pricey. LOL.

Congrats on your new low, honey!! I'm proud of you! And don't worry about the soreness, it'll pass. In the meantime, revel in the fact that you keep getting hotter. Just ask your hubby, I'm sure he'll more than agree. Haha...

Today's weight update: 154.8 so I updated my ticker. I think I'm going to be a Thursday ticker updater. LOL. So weight on Thursday counts as new weight.

Yesterdays Food:

Fiber One cereal
Skim Milk

Fiber One bar lunch

Dinner:
Homemade pizza w/turkey pepperoni, part skim mozzarella, pizza sauce and herb crust bread.

84 oz water.

exercise: 3.75 miles treadmill
 
Wahoo!! Look at those miles!! How fast did you run/jog the three and a quarter, chica?

The first 10 mins was at 6.0mph which was a 10 minute mile. I had a 3 minute cool down and then another 10 minutes that I tried to start but was unable too. I didn't make it far because my shins started acting up so I slowed again and then ran a little and then picked it back up and ran at 5.2mph for the next mile which made me run a lot longer, but I made it the whole mile.
 
Great job Tash! Your workouts make me feel like I need to get my ass to the gym and work up a sweat! I bet all those weights made you pretty sore the other day. Pain is beauty, right, lol? Its funny now because I love the sore feeling I get when I lift weights. My arms are pretty sore from my bi/tri workout the other day with the PT. I just feel really productive and good when I know I'm a little sore from killing myself in the gym. Your doing great, and congrats on the weigh in :party:

Congratulations on the weigh-in. We really are becoming twins. My weigh-in day is on Thursday, too. It gives me amble time to screw up on the week end and pay penance for the rest of the week. LOL
 
Good Afternoon everyone!

I weighed in this AM at 153.4 OMG.. specifically OMG because I went out with the girls last night (my friends birthday and she invited me to come along with her and the rest of her friends) and had lots o'beer a mixed drink and a few shots and when I came home, I had some chicken chili, 1/2 peanut butter sandwich, and a slim a bear ice cream. Went to bed around 4am and was up at 9 and couldn't go back to sleep. so here I am. =) (still need breakfast though)

I am now wondering if I am not eating enough calories though. I did get in to the gym yesterday (Arms, Shoulders and Chest) and walked about 2 miles plus all the dancing I did last night. I had a pretty good time, but there was some drama that I'd loved to have avoided.

I'm really happy with the weigh in though! :sifone:

Thank you sweatpea and luscious for the encouraging words. It's nice to share in each others successes and even failures because we all have felt that way at some point along this journey I'm sure! No more though, it's only going to be considered a set back from this point on when the scale doesn't move or something.
 
Wahoo Tash, look at that, all that fun and STILL your weight is down. Perhaps your metabolism has upped itself now? It seems I'm kinda floating in the same boat on this one. On days when I eat ALOT more than usual, I still seem to not gain weight back as fast and often as I did when I was heavier.

CONGRATS ON THE NEW LOW!! :party: It's exciting, I know. You're going to be in the 130's in no time, honey!!
 
Today's Weight 154.0 and yesterday it was 154.4. Not too shabby for the weekend. I'm still hoping I see the 153's again soon. I'd love to be 149 by May 1. =) That'd be soo cool!

I'm in my last 2 weeks before exams so I may not have as much time to post because I have a ton of stuff to do before this semester wraps up. I'll try to get to some journals later.

Today's Weight: 153.4 again. hehe. I'll take it and keep it with me. Tomorrow is weigh in day so I'm hoping to see a 152 on the scale or something. =)

I did really well with eating yesterday and I did some working out..

I climbed up on the stair climber (the really big one) and I did 20 floors facing forward. Then I did 20 floors facing to the left and walking sideways and then turned around and did another 20 floors the other side walking sideways. After, I walked 2 laps around the gym track and got on the cross trainer for 10 minutes and completed by walking another 2 laps.

I also had a volleyball game last night, which we didn't get as much play time in because so many people were there and the other team didn't play as well as they used too.

Afterward, hubs and I went to the gym and did our chest, shoulders and arms workout.

Today, is only a cardio day and W7D1 of C25K for me! 25 minute runs for the next 3 days.

Class is so boring for me this morning....i dont want to be there at all....when is your semester done?

I have the rest of this week, next week, and then finals. I can't wait to be done although I've had the greatest semester in the world. I love my professors.

4 more lbs is right. My goal for May 1 is 148 with my revised schedule. It was 146, but we'll see if and how I do by that date. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
