Steve's Slimmer Self (hopefully lol)

Hey All,

Thought it was about time I started to shed these pounds.

About me
I'm Steve, I'm 6ft 8in, and I'm 19.

My heighest weight was back in Jan 07 when I weighed a hefty 410lb (28st 1lb. Since then I've lost 72lbs and currently sit at 338lbs (24st 2lb)

I'm really pleased with the 72lb's gone so far, but would love so much more to go, hence starting here. :p

My current target:
210lb (15st) which is officially healthy for my height by Summer (July).

My plan:
10,500 calories a week. Main reason for this is being a student I never really know when we'll be going out to eat or staying in. So feel doing it weekly is best. I'm hoping for this to give a 1lb average loss per day. I know lots of people say this will be too much but not even a body my size needs all this weight. I expect I'll slow down this rate as I get nearer my target but for now we'll see how it goes

Overall not a bad week so far, 4 days to 3 pounds loss. Will be better when I got a car to get to a shop that sells healthy things :gnorsi:

Three days left 6.6k calories left >.< hmm, hopefully will lose a few more pounds this week lol

Thanks! Will be great when I'm finally down to my goal, hard work but def. worth it. What's two years spent looking after my body, if it'll give me 10-20 or even more years extra life.

Weekends are hard to calculate due to not being around scales and getting food given to me. But here's mondays:

lol. It's nice until:

You try to walk through a door
You try to find a car to drive
You try to find shoes that fit
You try to find clothes your length

:p Pretty annoying lots of the time actually. Nah, it's not all bad just feels like it sometimes.
 
You're overlooking the obvious..

Girls (if that's your preference:) Like 'em tall.. especially if you aren't quite short and want to wear heels :)

and you're good for reaching things off of top shelves :)
 
Hmm mornings, everyone hates them, but as least they show you if you've been achieving anything :p

I know the 13/14th amounts are a little off, as we had a big party so I expect I went up, but wasn't around scales. At least today it's back down below what it was before party. :D Yay for burning food off.

11lb down Feb so far, hope it stays like this lol :p

Howdy, Don't have scales at home, so will see in the morning while at uni halls. I expect it's gone up a little over weekend, due to no long walk around campus etc. :p

Will be great when I'm finally under 300 and on track to my goal.

Still can't decide what to do about a treadmill etc. It's lots of money to spend, being a student, and there's no real close gyms.

Hope the damage in the morning isn't too bad lol

yeh i understand about the whole student issue. i don't have any gyms really close to me. the one i had closed down...lol! but i got mine by making the faily chip in. and walking in this weather is not very appealing lol. its a good investment if it gets used...plus if you use it forever it works out to be cheaper than the membership anyway. also you get to use it when you want. lol i love the treadmill so i'm gonna give you the pros. cost is an issue though.

Yeah I guess that's true. Might wait till next term (4/5 weeks) and use part of my term loan to get one :p

Been looking for some forest walks near, but being in middle of the town none really close, and don't have a car currently.

Will have to have a look at getting some other things aswell, weights etc to do in halls. Nice and dry room, better than rainy cold outside :biggrinjester:
 
yeh thats the problem with towns..luckily i got a park right next to my house so i don't have any excuses to excercise anymore!!

get some small equipment...skipping rope...step (step aerobic might be a bit girly lol especially in halls hehe) easier to use inside and don't cost much! weights are a brilliant idea...look at some of the stickied threads about excercises ...they have loads of cool ideas.

let us know whatever you decide.

Lucky you! :p Can't wait till easter hols (One month off uni yay)

Just hope nothing creeps back on due to not walking around campus all day lol.

Back to 330 aswell.

Time to start reading everyone else's diaries aswell, been busy over the last few weeks with coursework, but more time now. :p

ahhh i only get 2 weeks off at easter and i have a disserattion to hand on straght after so i wont be having much of a holiday. get some gym equipment before then and use that over easter so those pounds have no chance of creeping back!

good job on getting back to 330! :hurray:
