Starting Personal Training Business any advice

My name is Sheilah and I am starting a home based Personal Training business in Methuen,MA (North of Boston) using my pro home gym or going directly clients homes. Would women be interested in this type of service?

My site is

Check it out and let me know what you think. Would woman feel less intimidated working out with a personal trainer at someones home for one-on-one session instead of being at a public gym? I am thinking to price sessions and package deals at about 40% less than cost of a regular gym ($80 for 3 sessions -- $220 for 10). Would this be enticing to woman who want to have a certified trainer but without the public gym setting? I am NSCA-CPT certified and hope this attracts clients. Have others had good luck attracting people with the crtifications?

Hey Sheilah

One of the biggest mistakes is to think that the certs will attract clients - my experience in the industry has always been that they really don't care.

I have a NASM and AFAA cert but they honestly don't mean much to me and really don't mean anything to my clients.

check out this resource I put together with a group of other successful independent trainer...

HardEarnedPTSecrets.com

it basically cuts through all the B.S. of being a gym trainer and how to save yourself alot of wasted time.

Hope it helps!
