It's he first time I've ever posted
On anything like so here goes,Im 36 and always struggled with weight, i'ved tried every fad diet under the sun and got so far before falling majorly falling off the wagon. However for lots of different reasons I have decided to make 2017 my time to tackle. I'm sick of feeling rubbish, having no energy and miserable. My friend has been telling me for some time about a detox diet she had gone on where she had lost weight and felt brilliant. I was skeptical as they type of things have never worked for me before, but decided that me and my partner would give it a try as What did I have to lose other thanks weight . The result is that not only am I really proud of myself for lasting the 9 days without cheating, deviating or losing motivation but I lost 11lb in the process as my parter losses 8lb now don't get me wrong it wasnt easy at first ;far from it. The first two days are the hardest But the benefits were and are incredible i have more energy, more focuss I had better digestion and it gave me the kick up the ass I needed! I've continued to lose by watching what I eat and will be joining slimming world next week. I've come to realise that losing weight is so much more than numbers its about the way you treat your body!

Hope you all have a healthy and successful 2017!!

Hi Nicola & a big welcome from me too. Well done on deciding to make positive changes. It's not about the numbers, you are right, but losing at the start gives you that extra motivation. Determination will get you there. The way you treat your body is the most important thing. We should all be treating our bodies with respect. Happy & healthy 2017 to you too. Cheers, Cate.
