My husband and I are now on our 2nd week of what is referred to as an "inch loss program", and it is working.

We measured for the 1st week and I lost an inch off my waist and half an inch off my belly (my problem area). my husband lost a total of 8 inches from his waist, belly, and thighs.

It is designed to retain your muscle while losing fat. So, far we are very happy with it.

Loosing inches is GREAT, it really makes the difference in how your clothes fit. Congratulations! I've been thrilled with the number of inches I've lost!

So what exactly is this plan you two are following?

great going so far - and excellent concentrating on the inches rather than a number on a scale... I second HappyDaye... What plan are you following?

ah based on the link in your profile - looks like it's prepacked stuff...

Thanks for pointing that out Mal, I never look at people's profile pages. The program looks interesting...glad its working for you. Keep us posted! :)

Thanks

Thanks for the encouragment. I actually do feel like my clothes are looser already. I'm on the Cinch program. It does keep you satisfied throughout the day so you don't feel like you are starving. You do a shake in the morning along with some fruit (I mostly do an apple) then at lunch you do the same thing. A snack (which is a protein bar) in the afternoon and then a meal at dinner. Or you could switch and do a meal at lunch instead. There is also a tea to drink if you wish to in between. And everything really does taste good too and the shakes are very filling.

What type of things are you doing to lose weight (or inches)?

Sounds good, the fact that's its tasty and filling will go along way. I hate it when those prepackaged programs taste yucky.

I'm basically being more mindful of portion size, eating a healthier diet, eating 5 meals a day (3 regular meals and 2 snacks) and exercising (Curves, power walking and some strength training). I've basically changed my life moreso than I'm dieting, you know? I want to be fit and set a healthy example for my 7 year old daughter.

Feel free to stop by my diary (Ohappydaye's diary) any time. I'd love to see you. :)

I'm sorry that you do not like the taste, etc... but I like the taste and I lost the weight I wanted to lose. Everyone that I that tried it liked it as well. I would sometimes bring some to lunch at work with me and had some extra for others to try and they really liked it. I guess we all have different tastes. But really, if you really do not like it, it is real easy to call Shaklee or whoever you bought it from and you will get your money back without any hassle. It just has to be within 30 days.

You Don't Need Prepackaged Food!

If you are having some success with pre-packaged food that's great, but it seems like an expensive way of doing it.

Try eating only fresh food with a low energy density, such as fruit, vegetables, lean meat and fish. You can eat as much as you like because you will be full at each meal before you have ingested too many calories.

The added benefit is that, unlike the pre-packaged food, this is a healthy eating habit that is easy to follow for the rest of your life.
