I'm off to my neice's 3rd birthday party in a short while. Must resist the cake! lol
 
Maybe, but then my neice might not give me a hug and that wouldn't be good.

I'm her favourite uncle :cool: She's ever so quiet, but she goes around telling everyone that she's my favourite girl :D I just love my neice :)

Having thought about it, I reckon I can resist the cake;

The cake will have candles...
The candles will need to be blown out...
All the kids will want to help blow them out...
Kids dribble when they blow...

I think I can resist it! lol
 
lol, ive never thought about it like that. ive officially been put of cake now. Well cake with candles on anyway.
 
You see how easy it is to eat right when you put things into perspective? LMAO :p

Have a GREAT time at the party, your niece sounds like a real sweetheart.
 
Hey Stan..thanks for the support on my diary! You guys have already started making me feel welcome! We just had cake the other night..homemade... it was good... but we threw out the last pieces..

Okay, time for my Sunday review!

Meals

Breakfast - Weetabix 210
Lunch - Tuna Sandwich & Celery 326
snack - pickled egg 75
pre party snack to make me not eat much at the party - cucumber sandwich 216 (this plan failed by the way! lol)
food at party - approx 1000 (lots of naughty treats but I was mainly good)

meaning i had approx 1827 cals today. More than usual but I can live with an overeat for my niece ;)

Exercise was my 3.8 mile walk this morning, mercifully avoiding the rain :cool:
 
Good point Janez, I agree. At sparkpeople.com it says that I have to have 1400-1800 calories, and I'm a girl, and I don't weigh much less than you Stan, so maybe 1800 is probably not even enough???

Advice seems to vary - or so I've discovered! lol

When I came up with my plan I'd read an article advising 1400 as a minimum for a man. As I can fit plenty of nutrients and don't (generally!) get too hungry on 1400 to 1500 cals I thought I might as well stick with it and see how it goes.

I'm not going to fret over one off special events such as the one today, so long as I stay clear of the naughty stuff.

Hey Stan!!!! Looks like all is going well for you!! The calorie thing is a burger isnt it. I dont know what I am actually suppose to be eating either, so I pulled 1200 out of my ass... (not literally, mind you)...

Hey stan, hope your not still ill :( *passes stan box of tissues*

It's getting kind of frustrating now, the sore throat never really developed into anything but it's still lingering, I still have the slight headache that feels like it's the precursor to something much worse and my ears are still feeling a little delicate. Either I am sick or I'm not, I wish my body would make up it's mind! Grrrr! lol

I didn't sleep too well last night what with the supposed cold and my back is also sore (had a car accident a few years ago and it still plays up occasionally), so I was a bit **gets interrupted by a call from a telecanvaser who gets short shrift and informed he's breaking the law ringing me as I'm on the TPS list! Grrr!** - sorry, I was saying... I was a bit grouchy this morning (and still am now it seems! lol).

And feeling all grouchy meant I was feeling a bit low today at work. It was horrible, I just didn't feel like even smiling and I didn't even join in with the office banter today either :( . I did my walk (1 lap, 1.6 miles) and even treated myself to a big pasta salad, but nothing seemed to cheer me up. At least I didn't pig out though, but all those negative feelings can't be good, really.

But the afternoon perked up a treat! :D .

Firstly, a work colleague who hasn't seen me in a while stopped me in the corridor - well, sort of dragged me back as we passed - and told me I looked like I'd lost weight and was looking great. She was really impressed when I told her how I was doing.

Then, I had a really angry customer who'd spoken previously on the phone with one of my seniors who'd only got her into more of a temper! I'd been called down to reception to deliver some booklets we'd ran out of but soon got dragged into the fray to save the receptionist. To cut a long story short, I worked the old Stannyboo magic, put on a bit of the old charm, dazzled her with my knowledge and she left happy. She's coming back in to see me on Friday with some more details AND her dad - She made it quite clear she was single, but I don't know about involving the parents at this early stage! lol

Anyway, how could I cheat on Peq and Blue Eyes? :cool:

Right, my food for today...

Lunch - Pasta salad & 2 slices of bread 564
Tea - tinned pork, cucumber & bread (got in late, 1st thing I laid my hands on!)
snack - pickled egg 75

Meaning I'm on 1374 so far & with an apple later today should finish on 1449

Exercise was the 1.6 mile walk - don't know how long it took me though.

Aim for tonight is to be early to bed - don't want to be grouchy again tomorrow :p

Oh, where were you this morning to make me laugh, Bluey? Really could've done with you around! lol :)

Forgot to add above, thanks for your continued support peeps. It really is appreciated :cool:

And once I've done a few jobs around the house, I'll be visiting some other diaries to try and catch up with you :)
