Just a quick update on the past 2 days...

Friday 1725 cals
Saturday 1850 cals

Oh, and rain, rain, rain today. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain. And then some more rain. What a grim day! lol.

Ooohhhh, I havent posted since Saturday?? Really? That's slackness. And I think it's caused by knowing I'm not eating as well as I should be and I'm not doing enough exercise.

I'm still doing okay, but not as well as I know I should so I'm going to use this as a wake-up call before I start to fall off the rails. I'm going to get back to basics so to say.

Mixed day today, plenty of exercise - must have done about 4 miles+ all in all - but the cals I think might have come in higher than my target, although not by too much at least.

Weigh in Wednesday confirmed that I have still lost some weight, even if I've not been impressed with myself too much, so I'm still at least pleased with that! lol. Down by 2.8lbs.

I know it might appear from what I've written above that I'm not satisfied with myself even though I've managed a decent loss this week - but I can feel myself at the top of a slippery slope and want to nip it in the bud before I start to slide down that slippery slope! :smash:

I know the feeling of that slippery slope. I feel myself creeping to that place often. It's the thought that "just one X" will not hurt. You cannot deny yourself but habits die hard. I still indulge on occasion but I choose the circumstance. Driving home from work and swinging through a drive thru to get a "little" something for the ride home is not something I will do again but if I am at an event, I will have that fried food or even dessert. I limit myself to special occasions and that in itself moderates it becuase how many special events to we really go to.

Congrats on the continued weight loss.

Thanks vonbrynt

Well, yesterday was a reasonable day with 1800cals and about 3 miles done in the baking heat and today has come in at 1700 but with no miles.

I'm so tired it's untrue - time to turn in I think.

Oh dear, I've had a couple of bad days. Not mega-bad, but not good either.

It's all my sisters fault! She went and had a birthday, a 30th birthday, and I went out and overdid the partying a bit. That left me really tired for the following day so I had some bar-food down my local to give me a boost for the day. Then we had a family bbq today which followed on from my pub meal at lunch with a friend. And tomorrow I'm out for another meal!

So, not mega bad at all, but not as good as I ought to be doing really. Still, I've enjoyed myself without destroying my hard work (just denting it maybe!), so I can still see the good in it.

I've been to the shops so I'm back on it in the morning - if I play carefully, I should be able to enjoy the meal in the evening without fretting! lol

Hi Stan!

I know about those birthday parties too! Well my mother/father's anniversary and my Sister/brother-in-law's anniversary was earlier this month. Good thing it was something celebrated just for both couples otherwise I could of done some serious damage.. to my health. My grandfather's birthday was a few days ago. My cousin's birthday is up shortly, then my mother's birthday, and then finally my birthday. Hopefully I can make it this month. :)

But it looks like you're doing fine, keep it up with those 3 miles, you're doing awesome. Take care!

Wow, good luck with staying good there V!!!

Okay, it's been a hectic week. My sisters extended birthday celebrations, buying a car, applying for a job, trying to sort out a uni course, two day trips to Cardiff and beginning to lay the groundwork for my cricket club to go to Barbados for two weeks have all taken their toll a bit and I gained 2.2lbs after eating on the run a bit too often.

But that was only on Wednesday - I stepped on the scales yesterday and I'd already lost some of that again as I tried to get back into the swing of things so hopefully by next Wednesday I'll be back to where I was (or somewhere near at least).

It's bank holiday weekend and I've only got stuff around the house to do - no big parties or anything - so this should be a good time to really get back on track and push it forwards.

Achievements this week included wearing an old shirt that didn't used to fit and it being very 'my size' now and buying a new shirt from a 'normal sized person' shop and not being disappointed because it was too tight. Get in!

Yeah!

After last week's 2.2lbs gain, I've lost 2.4lbs this week to put me right back where I was.

I've now lost exactly 14lbs overall in 6 weeks which is a rate I'm happy with - not too fast, not too slow.

just right is always good.... great attitude you've got there... :D

barbados sounds like a nice trip -that place is really lovely.. enjoy it :D

Thanks Mal :) I went to Barbados years ago, but I was just a wee kiddy back then and didn't really make the most of it all. Hopefully this time I'll enjoy it far more.

Well, I'm back online after suffering a problem with my modem. Got a new one in the post today and I'm straight back online.

Weighed in on Wednesday and was at 310lbs, down 3.6lbs on the previous week.

All good :hurray:
