Stan x3

Unexpected meals are one of my falldowns :nopity:

But it sounds like you handled it well :Angel_anim:

Ahh i wish i had the routine of weekdays, but i tend to not get up if I don't have to, even if I intended to. The best laid plans..and all that.

Did you get any of that horrid rain that we had over here for the past 2 days solidly?
:(

Oh it seems the Karma fairy was listening to this...about an hour after this i got a phonecall telling me i have a job 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Oh a summer of unemployment was looking quite good aswell. Solves the above problem i suppose+ lots of manual work means at least it will be quite healthy for me.

Heh heh, no lazing around for you! Should work out good though? Bit of a workout plus a bit of cash into the bargain?

Yes, there has been much, much rain - the wet kind too!! I thought about doing a bit of a walk at lunchtime today but the weather was far too bad. Typically, having abandoned thoughts of walking and headed back to the office, the sun came out for half an hour!! Oh well!

Cheated a little today - had my bran flakes for brekkie and dry ham & cucumber sandwich for lunch with 4 apples spread over the day, which was all good. But I had a meeting straight from work and didn't get home until around 9.30. Being a bit tired, I dropped in at the fish and chip shop - although I did go for the healthy option of batterless fish which makes it a bit more okay.

Anyway, no idea how many cals for today but it's not a whole lot I don't think. No evening meetings scheduled for a while now too, so that shouldn't be a problem at least!! Back to normal counting again :)

Well, what a grim day. It was one of those days where everything goes wrong, the World turns against you and you stand alone in the firing line taking all the flak that comes. These are the times where I normally turn to the comfort eating; a choccy bar here, a cream bun there, a pastry, a beer and a large pizza, complete with extra toppings, side order of potato wedges and a garlic bread for tea.

However, I didn't. :Angel_anim:

At the moment I don't feel any better for the good behaviour. In fact, I feel (insert expletive here). But I know that when the morning comes I wont be regretting a whole load of excess and I'll still be on the right road. And I have the forum to thank for that extra bit of willpower (and in particular, my bestest forum-buddy Janez). Even at the worst parts of the day when the vending machine was calling out to me, when someone left some cakes in the office for all to share and when I got home for tea and beefburgers was the easy option, my first thought was of the forum and not to break my healthy eating :)

So, today has been:

Toast (brekkie), apples (snack), dry ham & cucumber sandwich (lunch) and liver & mushrooms (tea), totalling, by my calculations, 1072 cals - which is a bit low, but what the heck, it's a one off and a major feat on such a (insert expletive here) day!

It sounds very paranoid, but I swear some people in my life are out purely to make things difficult at the moment. The support (away from this forum) I'm getting is absolutely nil, both for my diet and in other things which is rather peeing me off. I've only managed 8 days so far and already I'm getting the, "Go on, it won't hurt to have one" comments all the time, be it chocolate bars, burgers, cakes or whatnot. I've always only ever blamed myself for my current weight - after all, it's me that does all the eating - but perhaps my so called friends and family have something to answer to also?

Anyway, I'm sticking with the "It only took one iceberg to sink the Titanic" retort to the temptations people keep sticking my way and I get all the support I need right here, so here's two fingers to everyone who wants me to fail, 'cos guess what.... I'm NOT! Ha!

[/RANT]

Feel better now! lol

Well, today has been unspectacular save for the beans on toast for tea which is, as a Great British institution, never unspectacular of course ;)

Total cals for today, 1486.

I've been wondering what to set myself as a cals limit over the past week and having read up a little I've opted for between 1500 and 1800 as a target, so I shall be heading for that total from now on I think. Next thing to do is increase the old execise a little more although increasing form virtually nothing shouldn't be hard! lol

A big :waving: to everyone

:iagree:LOL, oh that made me laugh, I am now craving large amounts of beans on toast.

Keep up the attitude
:cheers2:

...but not with beer :)

Just a quickie today... 1900 cals. Bit more than I wanted, but never mind! lol

See you all tomorrow :)

Uh oh, pastry :(

I'm afraid that temptation got the better of me at lunchtime, BUT, I've still kept the cals down to 1800 today.

Just a quick post again. Must try harder!

Well, having had a bad couple of days I think I'm back to feeling more like myself again. 1412 cals today without even having to try - in fact, the effort was in getting the cals that high. I really need to start putting in some proper exercise though - a token effort walk to the shop really isn't what I need to be doing. The consistant bad weather can be a bit of an excuse I suppose, but I must do better on the exercise front or I'll be making things more difficult for myself than they already are.

Okay, don't think I've posted my targets, so...

- I'm starting at 326lbs and I want to get to 196lbs

- I'm aiming for 2lbs a week which will make the losing last for 65 weeks, but I'm prepared to go longer if necessary.

- I'm going to set small targets based on milestone numbers, the first of which is to get down to 300lbs

- When I reach my ultimate target I'm going to make sure my 'lifestyle change' doesn't get set back to what it was before! Having got it off, it'll stay off!

I'm not far off two weeks in now - the only thing I need to do is buy a new set of scales to measure my progress!!

Hey Stan,

Haven't been around for a few days, but sounds like you picked yourself up well from the bad few days you described.

To be honest i've had a bad few days, but i'm picking myself up from it, and starting again. :) I think i'm going to start a food diary, and take measurements etc, i wasnt really recording stuff properly before.

This job nearly killed me for the first 3 days, i managed to get myself on part time. So only working mornings from monday, hopefully that will be better. :)

:pumpkin:

It's not the bad days that define us, Janez - but the way we recover from them. I've bounced back pretty well I reckon and I know you'll do just the same, but better :) The job does sound pretty hard so good for you for getting it all sorted.

Okay, Sunday... Went to a party at my mum's house today and had some party food - however, I knew I'd be doing that so had like 200 cals all day before! lol. By my calculations I've hit around 1800 in total today having tucked into the calorie-rich yummies late on!

Oops, forgot to put yesterday's 3.5 mile walk - better late than never!

Today has gone pretty well again but I think I could do with evening out the cals maybe. I've had 1120 today which is a bit low, but I couldn't physically eat any more!! No walking today but I did do an hour and a half on the wii if that counts! haha!

Edit: Just noticed on my ticker below that the man is still on 0 of 26lbs. I still haven't been out to buy some scales so I can't weigh in yet, but I CAN report that the shirt I got a month ago for a mate's stag party which didn't fit... now FITS!! WOOOOOO!

ahah id be careful with that wii, i know loads (edit: when i say loads ...i mean 2 lol)of people, and many on the news who have smashed their tvs after being a bit over zealous with the wii remotes.

Funny you should mention that - I almost smashed the TV about half an hour ago during some over-exertive wii-ing! lol. Luckily the strap was tightly around my wrist though, damage avoided!

Didn't post yesterday, I was around 1600 cals - but again no real exercise to speak of. Couple of hours on the wii and a couple of hours on my feet, but that was it.

Today has been a pretty dull one. I've counted 1770 cals so far including a nice large tea that made me want to have a nap after! Haha! Plenty of wii play again, which is better than nothing!

The forecast is looking okay for tomorrow so I might try and get out and do a mile or two walk at lunchtime. No, forget than, I WILL get out and do 2 laps of my walk, which should be around 1.75 miles. :)

Well, I was wrong. The weather was grotty today, BUT I still went out and did the walk. Luckily the rain held off and so long as it's dry again tomorrow, I'll be going out and doing it again. I figure pledging to do it on here will make me a bit more committed to getting out there! lol.

Had a bit of a larger tea today as I was feeling hungry but I still only ended on 1840 cals, so I'm pretty happy with that! :)

Roll on tomorrow!

loll, i think someone i knew smashed a friends brand new tv...theres some quite funny ones on this : , with like a wii remote speared into a tv.

The weathers always grotty lol. Well done for the walk :)

I had to walk home 3 miles from work in the rain today :( i was muddy anyway, so i pretty much stopped caring lol.

Will we ever get a summer?

I think summer has gone the same way as the White Christmas - everyone seems to remember one from years ago, but we don't get them anymore!!
