Thanks Kimberly!

I know...so silly!
{My hubby needs to lose about 40 lbs. so maybe that is part of the problem?}

Not much going on here today..

I do have some good news though. :)

Many of you may not know this about me, but I write children's books.
I gave up 3 years ago after I was conned for the 2nd time and lost money thinking I was dealing with a "real" Literary Agent.

I also think I have the talent to write for adults.

Anyway,
I have had no desire at all to write bc the last con just made me feel like I had been raped. I worked with them for over 6 months and when you think you're really gettin' your foot in the door, it really hurts to know it was all a sham.

Last night out of nowhere, I started gettin' all of these creative ideas for a fiction adult book.
I jotted down the main ideas so I wouldn't forget anything.
I'm going to start writing today!

It will go a little slow bc I'm going to do research which will take a while RE: facts that will be needed to write the story.

I'm really excited that the desire has come back to me!

Enjoy your day everyone! :grouphug:

Hey TX Sunshine, Just coming by to check in real quick, I don't have a lot of time. I'm so excited about you doing a book, I can't wait to hear all about it. I think that's so exciting, and I'm sorry you got caught up earlier in a big MESS! I hope things are getting better in your neck of the woods with the hubby and son, I know they were both sick for awhile. I'm feeling better in that arena, I just need sleep, I'm sooo, sooo exhausted. I'm waiting for the mail to show up at work, so I can sort through it and then get the heck out of here. I hope to sign on tomorrow. I thank you so much for coming into my diary and giving me your well wishes! I miss ya sooo much!

Ooohh...that's great that you're gonna start writing again. I need to get my ass in gear and get back to writing mine, I mean I have about 250 pages written, silly to give it up. Maybe we can bounce ideas off each other. I'd love to hear what your book will be about.

I didn't realize your hubby needed to lose that much weight. I guess he's a bit jealous.

Have a great day, dear--and don't forget to exercise. :D

Hey good for you on taking up writing again! Don't let a bad experience ruin something you enjoy doing.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!:hurray:

Thanks Paul & Kimberly. :hug2:

Man, the past few days have been really off track for me. :willy_nilly:

I seem to keep going in/out of this rut type thing.

I'm not making excuses or anything, but the holiday's and bein' so dern busy really throws me off.

I guess it's bc I have OCD and cannot multi-task.

I have to do one thing at a time and then double check it. :D

We are out of groceries as well, and boy does that cause issues.

I go to the store tomorrow. {thank goodness!}

I have stuff for tonight's dinner and that's it..lol

I'm sure I will see a gain this week, dern it!

I have also had no desire/motivation to exercise as I usually do all week. Just a little here and there.. That's not enough!

I think the main reason for that is bein' so tired bc of not sleeping well while hubby was off those 5 days.

This sounds so mean once again, but he will be off 4 days starting tomorrow, and I'm like.. ----->

lol

I did not have enough time to myself Wed-Fri to refresh yet!!

Moving on...HeeHee...

I hope I can get out of this rut and get back to how I was when I started in Sept. I was on fire and doin' great!
It's so strange that with some {like me} the holiday's just really beat the heck out of ya and make ya fall off the wagon!}

Have A Great Friday Everyone! :hug2:

Gawd, I really need a GF/GF's...

I just don't understand why it's so hard to meet new people?

My hubby is a hermit man, so that does not help!

He doesn't even take me out any longer.

Y'all name off a few good ideas of things that you can do alone?

I know what you mean, but I have been spending a lot of time with my new best girl fried Ali and we drink and binge-eat together, which has packed on some pounds on this bunny! I hate to say this, but staying in helps aid weight loss :p I have been writing and drawing and that has helped me by...missed yoU! :hug2:

Hi Stacy

I hope that you are having a wonderful Friday.

It is great news that you are inspired once again with your writing. You are very talented with words and I am sure that you could write a great book and thoroughly enjoy doing so.

As far as your weight loss project goes - I am sure that you will soon be back on track. Many of us are being tempted this month - and I think the bottom line for many of us is that although we would dearly like to lose - we are trying to focus on not gaining. So many people that do not have a weight problem will put on weight this month.

I have already been tempted with seasonal goodies this week. I only have five more days at home before we go away for eight days. During that time I will be doing a lot less exercise and will be tempted to eat things that I should not eat. I am convinced that any weight loss in the early part of the month will be cancelled by a corresponding gain later on. So you see - you are not alone temporarily heading off track.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Ok, here's some tough love re exercising: Just do it!! Hey, I don't feel like exercising all the time. But you just have to do it even when you don't feel like it. Make it mandatory, not optional--like decorating for Christmas or grocery shopping--you hate to do it, but it needs to be done. When you use your OCD as an excuse, you give it power over you. You are strong enough to win the battle--I KNOW it. :) Just think how good you'll feel about yourself when you take control. :grouphug:

Thanks Kimberly!

Weigh In Day:

Was ..... 172.0 (new low)

NOW.............................. 174.0 (2 lb. gain)

Golden Corral and the Cookies I baked for the family are the reason for the gain.

Oh well.. My weight is only going to go up more and I don't care.
I'll start over after C-MAS.
I'll be makin' fudge and more cookies the next few days and I will be eating it.
I'm not gonna deprive myself from traditions and I'm sure not gonna go w/o while everyone else is enjoying everything.

C-Mas will be over soon and then all the junk will go with it.

I don't have to worry about Valentine's Day bc my hubby is never off and we've never really celebrated that anyway. We just exchange cards and that's it.

Easter is never a problem bc the family always grills and the sides are pretty healthy and not a big deal calorie/fat wise.

Happy Saturday Everyone.

That's the spirit! Those 2 pounds aren't really real anyway--there's no way you had a 7000 calorie SURPLUS from some goodies, no way in hell!

I like Jan-April cause last year I was able to lose 5 lbs a month without a problem for whatever reason! I'm gonna do it again!

Have a great weekend! :D

LOL Val.. ;)

It would just be a losing battle anyway.

Look at the menu for C-Mas Day..

I will be making:

Southern Cornbread Dressin'
Pea Salad
Paula Deen's Pineapple-Cheddar Bake
and a Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

Parents:
My bubba gets a free turkey from UPS {his job} and they will also get a ham. Dad will smoke them both.

Mom will make:

Broccoli Cheese Casserole
Candied Sweet Potatoes
Corn Casserole
Rolls
Store Bought Pecan Pie

My Nannie will drive in from Winnsboro, TX to join us. {2 hr. drive}

I can't wait to see her bc it has been way too long and I've missed her deeply!

She always makes a double chocolate-cherry bundt cake with a choc. glaze.

Also RE: the gain, my RHC should be arriving in 3-5 days as well! :flame:

I agree Val, I think after getting to splurge and just not worry, I'll be able to be on fire again and even get myself to the 60's by the middle/end of Feb!

Thanks sweetie. :hug2:

Hi Stacy

When I go away I hopefully will not disappear entirely from view - as I will try and log on from there (parents house in Newcastle). It worked last time I was up there so I should be able to get on - but not as often as I manage at home. We have quite a busy schedule mapped out for us.

There is no reason to feel deprived over Christmas - and I am not going to do that. I will however try and tread some middle ground where possible, as I know that when I do give in to temptation I just make a bigger battle to have to fight in January. I really am going to try and go no higher than my 1st December weight. Try and do the same - as I dont want you to have a mountain to climb in January.

I hope that you have a great Saturday.

Take care
Love
Margaret

I'm planning to eat what I want on the days that I have get togethers, and behave myself on all other days. I plan to exercise like I normally do to help offset the naughtiness. I recommend you do the same--to keep you from gaining too much. Plus, as stessful as this time of year is, the exercise will help to alleviate some of that for you. IMO, exercise is more important than eating b/c the more you exercise, the more you can eat. :biggrinjester: And I love to eat, obviously. haha

Hope you're having a good Saturday, my dear. :)

I agree with Kimberly that the exercise is more important that the eating. That is one of my personal concerns as I know that I will walk less when I am away as well as eating more.

Hi ya guys.. :grouphug:

It's just a wait 'n see at this point..lol

One day at a time..

I'm pretty much in the "I don't give a shit mode" right now anyway, so more than likely I will have a mountain to climb down after C-Mas..

I had homemade cookies and coffee for breakfast today. :biggrinjester:

I should probably just close my diary and start a new one after C-Mas.

Not a good example at all.

I wouldn't go that far. We all have our bad spells. Just try to eat as well as you can most of the time. so you had a cookie for breakfast--eat better at lunch and dinner. As long as your calories are decent, what you eat doesn't matter so much. Just try to eat the naughty stuff in moderation. Hey, you could've eaten 3 cookies for breakfast--so congratulate yourself for only eating one. One minor slip up a day will not hurt you. And if you keep up on the exercising, a day of major slip ups will not do much damage in the long run. :grouphug:

;) It was "cookies"... lol ... Had 4..

Hopefully my desire to work-out will come back to me.

That way at least maybe I can just maintain or just gain a little until this is all over.

Thanks Kimberly.. :hug2:

I think you're silly to sit around waiting for your "desire" to work out to come back to you. If that were the case, I might not ever work out again. :biggrinjester: Like I said, stop making excuses, and EXERCISE!!! I guarantee you will feel so much better if you do. The longer you sit around eating badly and not exercising, the worse you're gonna feel physically and mentally. So get going.:toetap05:
