Well slap a tick and call it Harry, what a beautiful day it is I tell ya!

ZuZu & I loved our walk.. Omigosh the baby ducks in the pond were so adorable! Since it's still windy, it was great once we came around on the side the wind was blowing mist from fountain...lol.. Cooled us off..

Brisk Walk @ Park + Going up/down huge hill 4X:

4,513 Steps - 2.2 ml - 120 cals burned - 41 mins.
 
Ridiculous! I burn more than that with a shorter walk--let me see on "am I fat.com".....a 175 lbs person walking for 41 minutes at a 15 min'mile pace supposedly burns 258 calories. At 13 min/mile, 287 calories!
 
WOW!! I wonder why my cals don't register right?

I have a great pedometer..?

Guess I'll start going to fit day to double check!

According to my calculations, you burned about 215 calories. And you burned about 1,000 calories cleaning last night!

B- Usual Coffee - SB Choc. Protein Bar

L- 1/2 C. Natural Banana/Almond Granola Cereal w/1% Milk

S- FF Yogurt - Diet DP

D- 2 super small baked pots with ff sour cream - spray butter - light salt - lost of pepper - 1 C. double noodle soup - 1C. romaine/veggie blend salad w/2 tbs. french dressing - 1 C. 1% milk "Oink" :rotflmao:

Total Cals: 1,374

Girl... if you really want to know how much you burn, get yourself a heart monitor. If anything, a lot of the websites (fitday and sparkpeople), exercise equipment, etc.. give half assed answers anyways. Either it's too damn low... or too damn high. Heart monitors remove all the guess work. Just FYI.

Hmm.. it could also be b/c you've been working so hard cleaning, exercising and taking care of your family. Get some rest, honey. Well, I think several of us will be boarding that red headed cousin this week...lol Me, Sheryl, etc.. oh it's so much fun, isn't it? NOT!! Actually, mine is due anyday now, yet I have no symptoms--not unusual for me, luckily.
 
Hi Stacy

I am pleased that you loved your walk. I wouldnt worry too much about how many calories your body burnt since your body knows and it is going to burn up the right amount of fat whether you know the number or not. It is not like you are eating so close to the line that it makes a difference whether you will put on or lose weight. You know that you will lose fat - the question is just how much.

My pedometer displays weight watchers points that I get awarded for the walking - whatever they may be - but I just ignore them.
I really am only intrigued by calories burnt if I know that I have severely overeaten and want to work out how much walking has the potential to cancel it out. Then I check that website that I told you about the other day.

I am sorry that you are feeling so run-down. I hope that you have an easier time this month. I'll bet that you are pleased that you got all your cleaning done up front.
