Tornados....ohhh *shiver*. I don't think I could ever live in a major tornado area. They completely scare me. Do you at least have a basement?

I was rushed to the hospital last night at 8:30PM and I didn't get home until 7AM..

I haven't felt well for about 10 days or so.. I thought maybe it was a stomach bug at first.. Well, I started getting a little worried once we got into to April bc I didn't have a period all of March.

I was scared I may have a tubal pregnancy. (My tubes were tied 14-years-ago.)

I had all the morning sickness symptoms and then started cramping all the time - no energy - dizzy spells - etc.

Well, late in the afternoon yesterday I had a real bad dizzy spell and then noticed something new.. My feet/ankles were super swollen and I had several puffy fluid pockets all over my feet & they were changing colors in certain spots!

I was slightly dehydrated so they put me in a room with the works.. :rolleyes:

Nakie with the butt hanging out gown - ice cold room (freezing to death) - blood presser thing on right arm that went off every 20 minutes - the pulse ET finger thing with red light - and an IV in my left arm that hurt like heck bc I'm a wimp w/super sensitive skin. :rotflmao:

That made me freeze even more.

They took a lot of X-Rays and took a lot of blood work.
They did a urine test of course as well.

My feet: Of course, the dr. said my weight gain has put stress on my joints and bc of my RA, I was inflamed. He said my shoes were probably to blame as well. I had varicose veins that burst which explains the strange colors my feet turned.
He said I should work hard to knock off 30-35 lbs. (I knew that already of course..lol)

The main problem/cause of all the other symptoms: I had blood in my kidneys and I have a very bad kidney infection.

He wasn't sure if my missed period is due to this so of course he said to go get a physical and get my hormones checked out.

He said my OCD and Stress could of course cause me to skip a month/have hormones out of wack.

What a night/morning..

As soon as I got home I crashed.

Good news: I'll start feeling better now and I hope to see my energy return.

Also, I'm 179.8 .....Out of the 80's! :hurray:

It's a start!
 
I am so sorry to hear about all of that! I am glad you are back in your own comfortable home!

Out of the 80's is definitely a start! Pretty soon it will be out of the 70's, 60's, and so on!!!

Wow, that is scary! Make sure you drink plenty of fluids to clean out your kidneys.

Would it ever be possible for you to switch your priorities? Like, I can't clean the house until I've eaten a nice filling meal and worked out. I sometimes find I'll end up finishing cleaning but if I clean all day I wont work out at the end of it.

Take it easy woman :).

Yep, I'm working on trying to control the OCD instead of vice versa.

I'm thinking I may need to treat myself like a 5-year-old and get a poster board filled out with daily stuff including my work-outs, eating , etc.

I can check off everything..

That may be a start to retrain my mind and self..?
 
Today I've had:

SF-Carnation Instant Breakfast Smoothie(skim milk)
4 big strawberries/benefiber mixed in.

Water and more Water

Choc. Whey Protein Shake (used water) 6 slices of banana mixed in.

Dinner will be (proper portions and measured):

Extra Lean Beef Meatloaf Patty - Mashed Potatoes made with Chicken Stock instead of butter - Green Beans - Small Green Leaf Salad w/Dressing.

The Dr. said to hold off on exercise until Monday. :(

I probably won't lose much by next weigh in on Friday bc of that.

My back is still hurting??

Hubby says it has to be my kidneys.

I still have not started!

What an ordeal!!! I'm glad you're coming out of it. Congratulations for hitting the '70's! It so satisfying to see a new number, isn't it? I like your idea of a poster board. There is something so satisfying to check things off of a list.

Just make sure that you listen to the doc and take it easy.

I finally started!

I'm feeling better today... No back pain as of yet.

I'm makin' sure to get in a lot of water each day.

Hubby and I will go looking at exercise bikes tomorrow and I'll pick up good walking shoes as well.

My feet are still swollen..? Stupid RA..

I'll soak them today and I hope that helps.

I really want to exercise tomorrow..

In a little while, hubby and I are going to check out exercise bikes and I'll get proper walking shoes as well while we're out.

My feet are still slightly swollen with a few fluid pockets left.

The hospital dr. said I could get back to exercise on Monday..

I'll just have to keep an eye on my feet I guess.
 
Hi Stacy

I am sorry to hear that you have been so sick. Really scary stuff - and hopefully it will help motivate you against that dratted OCD that keeps trying to control you. You need to be strong and make this weightloss thing happen (the doctor said so) or your health could really suffer. It's a shame as your weight is not really too bad (compared to where many of us have been) - but there is no denying that your health is suffering.

Congratulations on reaching that milestone. We all love those milestones. Stay focused on weight loss and you will hit the next milestone soon. I know that you can do it. It really will improve your health.

Well, it's the first time I've been out since the hospital and it was nice..lol The weather is just beautiful today.

My B-Day is May 28th and look what I got early!!!!!!!!



I'm Super Excited!

Speaking of b-day's, hubby's is tomorrow. He'll be 37.

I picked up some very comfy/supportive walking shoes and padded socks as well today. :hurray:

Can't wait for hubby to get the bike put together!
