Srynxie's Food/Exercise Log

Hey Srynxie!! Good to see you're sticking to it. I heard once that 70% of weight loss is about food intake, 20% moderate exercise and 10% vigorous exercise. I cant remember how reliable the source was but it made sense to me. I'm impressed with how often (and the variety!) of your exercise!! is this a regular thing for you? or have you upped it since starting your weight loss adventure? I just remember trying to work out twice a day and it only took me a week or two before i burnt out and i dont want that to happen for you! By the sounds of it you enjoy your hikes and blading though, which always helps!

I have always liked going out and doing things, but I have upped it where I do an active activity everyday, where as before maybe I`d schedule to do an active thing once a week before because, hey, I like video games and sleeping during the day lol.

The reason for the variety, other than it mimicing my diversity of interests, is because I don`t want to get used to it and get bored of it. Which is why the wii fit is so much fun to do, every day I can do something different and it`s helpful to see the graph that shows my progress. :D

Yesterday wasn`t overly busy for me but it was decent, except for at the movies where I had some popcorn. *SHAME*

Food Log:

1.protein shake, blueberries, almonds
2. salad with cucumbers, tomato, mushroom, croutons, lite ranch, green onions parmesan cheese
3. 1 ft long BLT sub with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, hot peppers, sub sauce
4. 1/3 of a regular movie popcorn

Gahh... I hate that popcorn because I love it. Popcorn is the bane of my existence lol. So.... tempting...

Water intake:
8cups

Exercise:
- 1 hr wii fit
- 20min biking
- 30min walking
- beach leisure: catch with these weird suction paddle thingies... lol

** wii fit says I went down yesterday a bit despite the popcorn, so...whew!

1. Protein shake
2. Salad w/ onion, tomato, mushroom, croutons, parmesan cheese, lite ranch dressing, diet pepsi, 1/3cup almonds
3. 1 ft long BLT sub with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions, hot peppers, salt/pepper, lite mayo, chipotle sauce, 1 sm. bag of baked southwestern ranch chips (totally yummy!)

water intake:
8cups

Exercise:
- 30min wii fit
- 15min walking

**I figured that since I spent most of my morning helping my best friend prepare for his military police interview today and didn't eat a lot of food that I'd tone down my workouts for the day so I didn't burn like, you know, what little muscle I have ... that and it was thundering outside ;P

Whew! Today ended up being really busy! LOL.
I ended up doing unintentional exercise when I hung out with my two best guy friends when we decided to walk the paved trail that links two beaches in our town together, which was a long walk full of laughter. Though I ended up having an extra late meal around 11pm tonight, it was because after that looooooong walk I felt almost ill from how hungry I was. Still, I made sure it was healthy-ish.

btw... I still love the wii fit. Just thought I'd mention that in case I hadn't already. :p


Food Log:

1. 1cup special k cereal, 1/3cup blueberries, 1cup fat free soy milk
2. Hot italian sausage on a bun w/ sauerkraut, onions, ketchup and mustard (I haven't eaten one of these in years :p)
3. salad w/ tomato, onion, cucumbers, mushrooms, croutons, parmesan cheese, ranch and two hard boiled eggs

... meal after loooong walk....
4. w/w BLT pita w/ lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese, ztatziki sauce

water intake:
6cups


Exercise Log:

- 1 hr wii fit
- 20min bike ride
- 1.5hr walk

I ended up sleeping in, for the first time in two weeks, because of the late late night with the boys but I still managed to get some exercise in anyway. It would have been a great day if it wasn't so gloomy out and the thunderstorm that ripped through my beach time with my two friends were we painted M----- with clay drawings. LOL


Food Log:


1. 1 ft long BLT sub w/ lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, hot pepper, salt/pepper, lite mayo & chipotle sauce + a sm. bag of baked chips
2. salad w/ lettuce, tomato, cucumber, parmesan cheese, croutons, lite ranch dressing + 2 hard boiled eggs
3. 1 deck-of-cards sized piece of steak w/out sauce and BBQ'd mushrooms and green peppers/onions

Water Intake:
8 cups

Exercise:
- 1hr Wii fit
- 1hr Play time at the beach
 
hey srynxie, do you find you need to go to the bathroom a lot with drinking so much water? i tried to up my intake and i must have a small bladder, because i felt like i was going to the bathroom every ten minutes!!

Well, you are talking to a hardcore Diet Coke addict... I'm used to drinking large amounts of liquid. Still, I do feel the need to go to the bathroom a lot more frequently but I'll put up with that if I get the amount of water I need.

Wow, today I felt so lazy! It may been attributed to the fact I didn't go to bed until around 2:30am...

It was all rainy and gross outside so I didn't go hiking or cycling today and I took it as my "rest" day which means I do less physical activity but still some.

**side note: I got the 3-combo pack of Alice in wonderland so my obsession with the Cheshire cat can continue into further insanity. ;D

Food Log:

1. 1 cup special k, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1cup soy milk
2. BLT sub w/ lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onions, hot peppers, salt/pepper, lite mayo & chipotle sauce + 1 sm. bag of the baked southwestern ranch chips
3. 1 cup sald w/ cucumbers, tomatos, croutons, parmesan cheese, lite ranch + 1/2 cup cooked red peppers/onions + 2.5oz of steak
4. 1/3 bag of popcorn

water:
7cups

Exercise:
- 1.5hr wii fit (edit: did an extra hour because i'm hanging with the boys tonight and I wanted to balance out in case I have a drink or an eztra snack)
- 20min walk
- about 10min of dancing (or at least my approximity of such)

** I suddenly recall that I have a dance workout thing somewhere around here that I used to love to dance with because it was fun and helped with learning how to move my body... so I may dig that out and pop it in the dvd player sometime this week.

hey srynxie! Good to see the extra exercise to compensate for calorie extras, i did the same thing the other night, except i went to the gym after my splurge, not before :p

hope you find the dance workout too!! i love dancing around my room to music, living in a sharehouse though my housemates tend to get annoyed at my blasting music, especially when its random play-all and backstreet boys come on :p haha!!

Ahh! I did horrible last night and today! *frowny-face*
I did compensate by exercising an extra hour yesterday but I indulged in a bit more than an extra snack and though i felt guilty about it this morning I sort of detoured and just chilled with my little brother watching a series and munching on doritos and having chinese food.

I did just get off the wii fit where I did 1hr 7min straight of fun balance games, yoga, strength training and some other stuff as well. I'm getting back on the train at this moment and I'll try and exercise more will-power so I don't get derailed again.

Food Log:
** SHAME**

1. 1 wonton soup + spicy tofu + bacon fried rice
2. Corn twists + doritos + blue raspberry ribbon candy

Last night's indulgence:
1. Rum + coke ( I did only end up having 1 drink like I said)
2. doritos + merangue pie + rainbow ribbon candy + 1 litre of diet coke

Exercise:

- 1hr 7min wii fit

Considering this is the only major slip-up I've had in about two weeks, I wont let myself get discouraged. I have seen good progress thus far so let's keep going! :D

I'm feeling slightly discouraged today, mostly because I feel sluggish and gross from the semi-binge the last two days...

I know that after a good nights sleep I'll feel better and back to my old self again, so my goal tonight is just to not snack anymore and prepare for going forward again. Thankfully tomorrow should be a nice day and I've made the boys come over and take the snacks they left here as to not tempt me.

*sigh*

Weekly weigh-in shows that I am down only .6kg which is probably due to the fact I binged for like three days. I'm not proud that I slipped a bit, but I am glad that I didn't go up.

This week will be better, I've promised myself that.

.6 of a kg is great! That is more than a pound :) Don't get so down on yourself, there have been weeks I have only lost .2 pounds.... much less than .6 kg :) Just keep swimming as Dorri would say

No worries, I haven't given up! I've just been too busy these last couple of days to post anything. Yesterday, though extremely exhausted, I went to a city over with my friend to look at apartments and they were really nice! ;D

Applied to two of them, and I have a job interview this morning and then hopefully tomorrow we'll find out if we get one of the places and then later this week we are going to the bank to see about getting a loan.

Fingers crossed.

Oh! and I'm back on the decrease on the wii fit. My friends have already agreed that you can see that my shoulders/back/arms are getting toned and that my legs are as well. Hurry up middle part. LOL.
