Spot reducing fat

Now, I know spot reducing fat is a myth and that the last place you lose your fat is in the trouble spots such as the stomach. You first lose fat in your face and arms before losing fat where you really want to. I am probably 5-6 pounds away from a 6-pack and I know I can lose that weight quickly. But is there any way to prevent fat loss from my face?? Last time I lost a lot of weight I was really skinny but my face looked like that of a starving African. Do I have to look like a starving African in my face in order to have a nice 6-pack??

Does losing fat using HIIT or regular aerobic training make you lose fat in the same exact places?

You know I am going to help you because your question made me laugh.

No you don't have to look like a starving African.

This being said I would imagine if you are that lean already you might be better served adding on some muscle instead of taking of fat. What are your stats?

Thanks for the reply. I have 10% body fat and weigh 135 lb and am 5 feet 6 inches. I am just scared to go back to 6-8% body fat (that's where you need to be to make your 6 pack really visible). My senior year book photo was just sooooooo bad. My cheecks looked like flat tires.

Even if you did gain a little bit of fat with the muscle, you won't have a hard time burning the acquired fat back off. Just make it as clean a bulk as possible, and you can gain minimal amounts of fat.

genetics play a huge roll in how 'chubby' your face does or does not look.

You're not kidding! Everytime I put on weight, I show it in my face.
I can't stand it!
