I have been a little heavy all my life, and I feel self concious about it. I have decided to lose weight. I currently weigh 254.8 pounds, and I am 5'3" I want to get down to about 120 pounds. I plan to weigh myself every three days, and record other statistics. Here is my current information:

Weight- 254.8lbs.
Body Mass Index- 45.13
Waist to Hip Ratio- .846
Blood Pressure (these numbers are suprising to me!)
Systolic- 107
Diastolic- 64
Resting Pulse- 93
Neck- 14.5"
Uppper Arm- 16"
Forearm- 12"
Wrist- 7"
Bust- 46.5"
Waist- 44"
Hips- 52"
Butt- 50"
Thighs- 30.5"
Calves- 20"
Ankles- 11"

Pant size- 26
Shirt Size- XL


My plan is to diet, walk at least 5 miles per day, and begin a yoga regimin.

I feel good about my decision and can wait to get started.

Feeling good about your decision in the best thing. SO many people have dropped weight on here, or met goals of some sort. This forum really helps me and I feel good about encouraging other people. Losing weight is hard work and I wish you the best of luck and motivation to stick with it. YOU CAN DO IT!!! :D

My Current Statistics (which should have been posted yesterday):

Weight- 250.0lbs
Body Mass Index- 44.28
Waist to Hip Ratio- .88
Weight to Goal- 130lbs

Blood Pressure:
Systolic- 112 (up 5?)
Diastolic- 63 (down 1)
Resting Pulse- 91 (down 2)
I think Yoga has made an improvement, small as it is!

Neck- 14" (down .5")
Upper Amr- 15" (down 1")
Forearm- 12" (same)
wrist- 7" (same)
Bust- 44.5" (down 2")
waist- 44" (same)
hips- 50" (down 2")
butt- 49.8" (down .2")

I have been able to walk the five miles a day and I am really enjoying a half hour of yoga each day.

I have decided to add all of my statistics to a database, and every month or so print out a microsoft excel chart for motivation.

Pant size 26 (much looser)
Shirt size XL (much looser)

I think I will stop putting my pant and shirt size, I won't be getting new clothes every time I lose a few pounds.

Maybe it is just me, but there seems to be an odd redistributation of the fat on body, some measurements went up while others went down.
 
way to go for having the looser clothes -that's sucha great feeling :)

you're doiong terrific and are almost at the end to week 1 - well done :)
