Boy do i ever hate coming up with names for diaries. I look at everyone else's and think how neat they are. Well, health nest. There.
I'm not one to spend a lot of time writing exactly what I eat and what portions, just whatever sticks out, like the fact that on Monday I snuck all the desserts my parents loaded us down with on Easter in the teacher's lounge so I didn't have to worry with it. Yes!
Or that yesterday I misjudged how much I should eat for breakfast and broke down and got some Cheezits from the machine.
Which are tasty,
but have trans fat.
Dean Ornish wrote in The Spectrum about a study of monkeys divided into three groups. All monkeys were fed only enough calories to offset what they spent in a day, so they shouldn't have gained or lost any weight. The first group, who ate low fat, didn't. The second group, who had 8% of their calories replaced with mono unsaturated fats, gained a little. The last group, which had 8% of their calories replaced with trans fats, gained a huge amount of weight, and all in their tummies! I only write this because whenever I eat trans fats I think of the monkeys and freak out a little, like this,
THE MONKEYS!!!
Which I did when I ate those Cheezits, the end.
What I'm doing well now is eating right. What I'm doing poorly now is exercising, so that's my focus right now.
