Soreness

I had too miss 2day because I was WAY too sore. I really didn't want to miss. I feel if i went I would get maybe 1 good exercise in thats how exhausted I am. I've been really flushed on the last couple exercises for a couple sessions. My workload has nearly doubled I should have expected this to be coming. And yes my diet is GOOD.

Still I don't feel good ab missing. How do you know when to draw the line between missing and being too sore? Or do you just never miss no matter what.

I'll miss if I feel that it is to the point that if I lift, it would only do bad.

Missing a day or two won't really have any negative effect. I still do it, however.

if you are too sore your body is telling you it needs time to heal. so don't stress it out just do light stuff to keep the blood flowing and keep your flexability.

soreness is good, to an extent...isnt it?

but i always thought the best way to cure soreness was to go with another workout. if my legs are sore, i will do a light run to loosen em up (i may look as dumb as the tin man running from a rotweiler though). lots of stretching before and after, then its hot tub city! beers later on.

soreness is okay as long as you don't aver tax your muscles while they are healing. they need to repair. if you keep tearing them up and nnot giving them the chance to recouperate you are not doing them any good. so go easy on them and stretch to maintain flexablilty

If in doubt, Leave it out!

Even if im slightly sore in the muscles I was gonna work, then I miss the workout, Or Isolate a compleatly diff part of the body. I dont believe in working muscles untill they are at 100%, otherwise how can you possably work them 100%.

If your gonna put everything you have in to your workouts your body needs to be in perfect working order. Thats why its better not to have a weekly program where you work a particular muscle group on a particular day of the week. I work 2,3 or 4 days on and then have a rest day. That way if you miss a day(or two) you can just pick up where you left off.

Your muscles feel sore it means that it has not healed. Protein, sleep, make sure you get the blood pumping round your muscles at least twice per day. Even on your rest days do 5-10 mins of light pushups, shodow boxing, jumping up and down, etc... your blood heals your muscles, so make sure its flowing.
