Sophies diary

you taking the train there?

or flying? (that was the best part of europe -ryan air and the other cheapie airlines that took you everywhere really inexpensively)

flying from birmingham to charles de gaulle. yeah its all worked out pretty cheap to be honest :) 110 for the flights and hostel accomadtion including breakfast. and then im taking 120 quids worth of euros to buy dinner and tea with and to get into toursit attractions.
i MUST remember to say no to sauces of any kind. hidden calories. i need simple food :)

ok so ive gained two pounds this week. and i owe that to saturdays binges really. my calories were way ott and i mae a mistake. so ive got to correct it not. i need to get back to 119 and i am going to do it. i will stay strong when i am in paris. i dont need food to have a good time. i need food when i am hungry only.

In Paris this time of the year you can probably live on fresh strawberries. Just find a street market place with a good fruit&veg store and you're saved from all the temptations of boulangeries and patisseries.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.. :p

You go girl! You don't need food. Sometimes it helps me to get stuff I don't like, then you are eating only what you need and no more!!;)

thankyou for the tip juliette :) i will follow your advice and go for the fruit instead of the pastries
and yeah michelle! lets be strong :D

Hey Sophie!! Paris huh? Lucky girl....Have fun! Dont worry too much about the food, it will come naturally if you let it.

Hi Sophie :) Don't worry about those extra temporary pounds. They'll go soon enough. Paris will have a lot of different foods, fill up on the fruit like juliette said and you'll be okay to have small treats then too :)

thankyou brit hope you are feeling better - i need to stop by on your journal soon
and heyyy rachie i think thats such a good idea :) ive just got to have portion control and intuitive eating when im hungry is good too. eee tomorrow :)!

I love your "eeee"'s that you do. They make me smile :) eeeeeee
So cool you get to go to Paris!! When I went, I saw the Eiffel Tower from the window of the metro, all lit up and pretty and was sooooo excited!

i have never been before. i want to climb to the top of the eiffel tower :D
haha those are my excitement e's rachie :)
SOOOOO calories today i have been sooo goodygumdrops i have only had 1400 calories!! and i went to the gym for two hours tonight.

walking down the champs de lysee or however you spell it was much cooler than the eiffel tower -when i was there it was so crowded and there were so many pushy tourists it was not pleasurable at all... and they seriously wouldn't let me throw people off the top :) the french are so picky :)

if you get a chance - the best part of the louvre was the mona lisa - I was seriously surprised at the size of it :)

we are going there :]!!i reaally want to see notre dame too bcos of the rlly sad film made :( we are staying rlly near to that anyway. we wanted to go and see the moulin rouge bt our teacher doesnt think that it is a v. gd idea :p

what other things are you planing on seeing?

Notre Dame is beautiful -- you'll just hope to see esmerelda dancing neaby :)

If you're up for some exercise -Sacre Couer at the top of Montematre - the stairs look daunting but it's worth the trip up - it's the highest point in paris and the views from the top are incredible- the cathedral is beautiful too...

yeah i think we are going there. erm i dont really know what else tbf .. my friends are experts at paris but i have never been and cant remember any of the names. i'll let you know when i get back!
aparently i simply MUST try snails and frogs. so thats going to be a interesting (regrettable? i hope not) experience. really dont fancy either of those delicacies but hey im up for trying new things

I know what you mean about the size of the Mona Lisa Mal. There were way too many people around it when I went too! When I went to the Eiffel Tower there were street vendors selling all kinds of wacky things and I remember all the students buying the same thing. Our teacher got annoyed because they were little gorillas in grass skirts and when you squeezed them, ahem, something popped out of the front of the grass skirt - so funny for us to see the horrified look on our teacher's face! :D

Notre Dame really is amazing. We also went to the Sacre Couer (good call Mal) - an awesome place. We walked down and passed the Moulin Rouge and through the red light district - again another red faced teacher!

Have a wonderful time in Paris Sophie!!! :D

frogs legs - in all seriousness -taste like a rubbery chicken - not awful not fabulous - but worth trying (the past decade or so i get really freaked ouot by bones attached to meat so it's not for me anymore)

escargot - usually served in a really garlicy buttery sauce sometimes with a puff pastry on top- are divine - they're kind of like a wild mushroom in taste - but put enough garlic and butter on anything and it'd taste good :)

good for you for tryingto experiment - worst thing that will happen is you don't like it :)

oooooooooooooooh youre making me all jittery and excited rachie - i am going to have a good time now deffo :D:D
and im gonna take loadsa piccies so i can show you guys how much fun i had haha. im sure some of you havent seen what i look like yet...

So glad you said that Mal because I think escargot taste like mushrooms too. Everyone trying them at the same time as me laughed when I said that
