Sophies diary

That's really good to hear, we ALL need a break every now and again. OF EVERYTHING, including exercise and work.

I left you the black bean info in my diary. It's hard to put in writing, I hope it makes sense. Let me know if not! I'll try to find an actual recipe for you.
:hug2:

cheers big ears! once these exams are over then i can start training properly again. they are my priority. Ona plus note i have found a university course that i think i want to do :D finally after searching and searching :rotflmao:

where have the other 11 come from and why arent they showing up?
and also what do the points mean - i have 160 points so what does that mean

Wow Soph! It has been a while since I have stopped by. I just wanted to come in and say hello. I am happy for you that you have chosen a university!:jump:

I love the new funny faces, they are great!! I think everyone's rep went up. Little gremlins in the computer today. Or maybe everyone just deserved better REP today. HAHAHA :jump:

Thanks for taking the time to visit my diary. What are you taking at University? (sorry I am sure it is in your diary somewhere but as I am at work I can't really spend too long). I majored in psychology and got my Bachelor of Arts. I have also taken some graduate classess in statistics, how fun. School is part of the reason I gained weight. I used to do a lot of night classes so I went get fast food before school almost every day. Now I have more control.

Hope you come and visit me again!

It's always fun finding a course that you can be excited about :D I have no idea about the rep or points system - I can't figure it out either! lol.

:D
~nic~

My rep jumped up too but I didn't get any more points or comments, etc. I think for every 10 points you get 1 rep power... I think. And if that's the case it wasn't matching up earlier, but now that it's jumped up now it matches. So maybe you get the points and then every so often it gets calculated and then updates the rep? I dunno, that's just a guess, lol.

What course did you find that you wanted to do?

My rep has gone nuts too!!!

What course did you find that you wanted to do?
so.. ive always wanted to do primary education at university because as long as i can remember ive wanted to work with children.
I didnt want to go to a teachers college and do it because i want to go to university and experience the way of life there. a disappointing thing to see was the lowness of the grades required to get into a primary education course and i didnt want to go to a unknown university - i wanted to go to a big one, in a city, that is know to be a good uni - because i know i can get the grades. and anyway i got a bit excited a couple of months ago cos i found a course at durham uni - it is the most beautiful small city based all around a hill with a castle on top and the castle is actually part of the university .. its like a little fairytale town BUT also Newcastle is like 20 mins bus away and its a massive city. but when i researched it i found the course wasnt actually at durham but at a durham collegiate in stockton on tees which is 40 miles away from durham. great.
so i thought well im gonna have todo a degree that im not really bothered about and then do a PGE after wards.
and yesterday i found a course at Edinburgh for primay education:D:D and you have to get three Cs which is quite high for primary education (well higher than the others) and i know i can achieve this - and also edinburgh was my first choice university anyway - great sports teams and shopping :rotflmao:
only downside i think is that is only qualifies me to teach in scotland but i dont really mind that. ive heard that the scottish system of education is much better than the english anyway and my parents are moving to scotland when i leave home anyway so i wont really have any other attachments to england.
x

Aw how exciting!! Well good luck with applications etc, I'm sure you'll get those grades you really have been working hard!

And I hope your feeling better today too.

My reps also jumped up, it was 5 yesterday

Hey! Good choice on the primary education ;). I just finished my year at Teachers College, and can teach primary/junior...it's quite hard to get a job around here though (ontario). Oh well. If it's something you really want to do, you'll love it :D

I say go for it Sophie, and if your family is moving there also, what a huge PERK! Do what makes you happy, because that's what you will stick with. Did you mention they have a good sports program too? See, you get double the points then. Your sports and your education. HOORAY! Well, hope your day is going well!

my day is going ok thanks kim. i missed running again tonight - i am giving myself time to recover before exams.
although i seem to have lost my appetite. its totally stumped me because im usually ALWAYS hungry.
but i had a bowl of fruit and fibre for breakfast. and then for dinner i had a banana and 30g of rice pops. and i dont think i can face having anything else to eat today.

Five stars for your education and choice in teaching! I want to see Scotland before I die....and I'm sure your appetite will get back to normal, soon. I've been eating like crazy today, unfortunately.

Wow, that sounds great. I mean, if you're parents are already moving there anyways, then if you did go to that school and teach there at least you'd have your fam there with ya! I think it sounds wonderful! So are you for sure going to do that, or are you still thinking it over?
