Someone Help

ok im 20 years old and have been in the navy for 2 years. i am 5ft. 11in. and weigh 139lbs. i am tall and by no means muscular. i have tried gaining weight and working out but my metabolism is to fast and i hate the gym because well im skinny and not to strong. i just bought a bowflex and some supplement from some of my very large military brothers and want to know if anyone thinks or knows i can gain weight and large muscle with a 6 day a week workout on bowflex and large calorie and protien diet. please let me know or throw some suggestions. thanks jeff

Not a big fan of the bowflex or any machine for that matter.
By not being a gym, you will not be able to see other people doing different routines, you will not have access to free weights, you will not be able to ask "the monstrous" people advice. I don't know about anyone else, but I have never been in a gym where the "muscleheads" were rude to the newbies.
Get in to a gym. The added motivation of seeing other people make gains will def push you along.
Up the calories sure.

I second the bowflex comments. Even if the ads for bowflex show a really muscular guy, I highly doubt he got that way from using a bowflex. Free weights is the ticket. And you'll need to figure out the calories you'll need to gain weight. Even with a fast metabolism there's a point where your calorie intake is at a maintenance level, and you just need to add about 500 calories per day on top of that number.

Be wary of advice from muscleheads. Many have great genetics but very little knowledge. Some people can do all the wrong things and still put on decent muscle. It's frustrating for those of us who have fast metabolisms and have to really work at it. If you can afford it, find a good trainer. There's an article on how to choose one on my blog. The forum won't let me link there but you can find it pretty easily from my profile.
