So my journal begins.....

doesnt matter how hard you work, sometimes there is a blunder or even a deliberate blunder type thing.
Dont fret about the milk duds, i ate 2 packs of jelly beans over the weekend *G*. I refuse to feel guilty, but instead put in a few extra hours on the bike!

well remember that statement about busting a nut, well I think I may have accomplished that. Took today off to recover, tomorrow is my day off of work, so gonna really bust my butt, hopefully not actually (breaking something that shouldn't be broken, lol) Just really gonna push myself the next two days. Things are going swell, I got a really nice compliment at work today, it was one of those that just set the tone for the rest of the day, and well it worked, so to the stranger at work, I say thank you. Diet, I cheated went to a baseball game and had a treat, but I rarely cheat so not gonna hide in the closet or beat myself up. Other than that diet and exercise are going well, Although the scale is still stuck, I am still seeing nice improvements in body composition, legs are getting bigger, my fat is confused and not sure where to go, lol. Have a great day/night everyone. And always thank you for the support and thoughts shared in this group.

Kevin:waving:

wow good to hear you getting compliments :)

I love compliments! they make me feel uncomfortable but nice inside! :D

yes wishes compliments are nice...So tonight had a great workout, one of those workouts where you just wanted to keep going. So I did a bit more than usual woot. Might pay the price tomorrow but that is okay, tonight was wonderful. Well not sure what happened but I'll take it, was out running errands, and decided to peek in a garage sale in my yuppy little neighborhood. Oh a moving sale even better. So needless to say the guy there was an avid biker and was getting rid of a couple sweet bikes. So we chatted for a bit, hit it off and ended up with a $600 bike for um, and embarrassing 20 bucks, lol. He had one of those Greg Lemond bikes which cost in the $5-6,000 range so he was just being nice. Love that crap. So happy about that, gonna give it a good look over tomorrow and just might get a good ride in as I have the day off. I am pretty excited, can you tell? Okay what else is new in this silly life. Diet good, exercising good, work so-so as usual. So I took some of your guys/gals advice and joined a biking club in the area, and they got me thinking about racing. Hmmm. I might just have to give that a try, set a goal and maybe give it a shot. I will have to to register for a couple now for the end of summer, that way I won't back down. Gonna do it so another exciting thing, I will keep you posted.

Have a great day gang, I did drop a pound woot, a very hard earned pound but a pound none the less. I will have to change my ticker. WOOT

Take care all

Kevin

yah bike clubs are what got me addicted, the guys are so darned friendly and we always have a good old gas bag whilst cycling. And then they have a social coffee and cake at the cafe, though i forgo the cake and eating part usually :)

Congrats on the bike! pics?

No pics yet, but I will work on it, pretty nice bike. woot!

Hope2 are you stalking me? If your not, would you like too? lol

Interesting night, I pretty much pushed ,myself too hard exercising and well I got sick after 40 minutes on the bike. Not sure what was up, had a big adrenaline rush and really just pushed myself, apparently too hard. Lesson learned.

Actually I am happy about the pound lost, but to be honest, I am getting frustrated about my super slow loss the 2-3 weeks. I have used fitday for calorie counting, been doing really well staying consistant on the bike and been progressing with the resistance. Just feel really blah about it actually.
Well enough pissing and moaning. Just gotta stay on track and see what happens. gonna rest, still not feeling 100%

Take care all and again thank you for the kind words.

Kevin:puke:

Yep, im stalking you. busted :O

You sure your calories arnt to low? might be why you are feeling sick. alternativly could just be that stomach virus i had for 3 weeks last month :/

I would love to mix in some new form of exercise, but my girlfriend is out of town at the moment, lol. I do see what you are saying and I really appreciate the feedback, however I do have a slight addiction to cycling, and for now will continue to be my mainstay. I know when it starts to feel like summer here in the midwest, I will add swimming, possibly jogging to the routine. I just love the sun and water, and have really been thinking of checking out the ocean this summer, and just get some quality time in..(as you would say some chill time.) Thank you so much gang, I really appreciate the visits, to my little world.

Okay well just a quick secret, was going to take tonight off from working out, but I am getting my daughter tomorrow and well I will have to get in some quality time in with her, so gonna um, ah, um, work out again tonight, but I will just take it easy, and do an easier than usual routine. Gonna get in trouble later, lol.

Kevin ( are you really suprised?):waving:

Well for an easy workout, it was really good actually. My legs aer soar, so wasn't too light and I feel like a got a good workout in. Gotta love those litle surprises. As others may have pointed out I might be slightly OCD, but I never denied it. Everything is going well, diet is in check, exercising is in check, in love with an amazing person, yep I wasn't looking but she ran me over with a semi-trailer, so I didn't have an option. So things are going pretty well, no complaints on this front. Have a great weekend all if I don't write, but I try to find the time to add to my journal and at least put in a this and that, like today. Nothng earth shattering, but I made a point to write and well there you go, lol. Enjoy the holiday weekend.

See ya,

Kevin

Hello to my little "family". I hope everyone is doing well and if I don't write again until the weekend is over have a great holiday weekend. It was a horribly long day, but hopefully I will be able to enjoy some time off from work like many of you. Nothing really new and exciting to share from my 14 hour work/errand day. Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend.

Kevin

Okay well this is getting interesting. Three times in the last 10 days after exercising I have gotten pretty sick. (vomit sick, I know too much info) Am I pushing too hard? Am I not getting enough calories as wishes suggested? Just really strange, this is a very new thing, anyone else experience this?

Just an overall interesting last couple of days, it had its ups and downs like an elevator, lol. felt more like a roller coaster. Oh well life goes on, lol.

Diet is going well, I did have some cookies the other day, but you know what? Chicken butt, I mean seriously not gonna always eat the perfect foods, we are human and well lets be real the bad stuff always taste so damn good.

Other than that things are going well. On wednsday going to venture out a bit on the bike I think and hit a lake about 12 miles away, so a 24 mile round trip, just for fun, if the weather permits. Not alot of things to say still in recovery mode from getting sick this evening. I hope everyone had a great extended weekend.

Kevin (the other white meat)

well the bike trip didn't happen, this week in general has been an off week for me personally so just gonna throw it in the trash and start a new starting this very moment. It seems to me that for some reason my body is still in transition, but I think I am going to really double check my math in the calorie department, because either I am in maintenance (sp) mode or in starvation mode. These last few pounds are just being a real pain in the ass. I know for some reason our activity levels increase in the summer and I am sure that will help the last mile, so to speak. I just can't seem to get the ball rolling as in weight loss. It could many variables as I am gaining lean muscle mass during this time, so I still may be losing fat, just not losing weight, if that makes sense.

So I have to options at this point, as I know my current physical activity is up to snuff, one I could reduce my caloric intake for a week and see if there is any change, two increase my caloric intake and see if I notice any change, or perform liposuction on myself. Think I will attempt number 1 or 2 first as I think the later would hurt like hell.

I really need to get off the indoor bike addiction and venture out on my real bike more as the sun is starting to peek it's head in the midwest finally. Better environment, elements, and more variety , as in resistance constantly changes. And I love to people watch, lol. Well I do.

Hope everyone is doing well with thier personal battles, and I want to thank everyone for the support given. It is very much appreciated.

HI gang,

wow I took a few days off from the forum and my journal, I always seem to post the same old same old, and well that just isn't my style. But as I started typing this new post, I was thinking to myself ( I think a lot) um, what exactly has changed since the last post.....

Oh I know I GAINED A POUND... lol no comment on that, and I am praying it is muscle, or something is really messed up. Like I stated in my last post just gonna follow the numbers and test a few different things and see where it takes me.

On a side note, I met someone, and I have fallen head over heals (without the heals) for her. She is simply just an amazing person through and through. I could literally fill pages about how I love this person, but that wouldn't be fair to the general public. So in essense that is my biggest news to share. No one said our journal had to be set on weight loss and exercise routines.

Things are however, going very well, had a great birthday weekend, and really enjoyed time spent with my family and my honey. Diet is going really well, except I did dabble into my birthday cake, but honestly once a year, not a problem. Biking is going well, and yes I did sign up for two races toward the end of the summer, really want to bust my butt and prepare, and not make a fool of myself. Other than that things are really good, just alot of things going for me in a real positive direction right now, and I am so very thankful for all this good forune that has fallen into my lap. i hope everyone is doing well and fighting the good fight. thanks for stopping by and I appreciate everyones support. It really is appreciated.

Kevin:waving:

Sounds good, Kevin. Are you getting outside on your bike now? I was out today for two hours and it felt like ten minutes. Loved it.

Glad to hear that you have someone new to share this with. Even better that she's amazing, too. :drool5:

Have fun

you must be young if ya stil think you can fall in love with somebody that quick haha :D

Keep up with the cycling! :D

wow thank trops, hope2, and wishes for stopping by. I really do appreciate it.

Had a great workout, just wanted to keep on going, I love those. Yeah I am able to get out alittle more than before, but the spring showers, are keeping things on the lean side(referring to getting outdoors).

As I stated before I did gain a pound but my body is still changing and my cloths are fitting really well, so I am guessing there is some lean muscle mass developing in the leg region as it was before, but with the new bike the level of difficulty is much greater, which I love, so that will only help my goals.

Diet is going pretty well, I was taking a daily supplement that I am finding after stopping, that did help with alot of things. Caffeine boost, as it keep me going through out the day. And it did do a very good job of curbing my appetite. I am finding it harder and harder lately to not want a snack here and there. I will more than likely pick another supplement to remedy this situation as I do not want to back track, one of my biggest concerns. I am still eating well, just want to eat more than I remember.

Other than that things are still heading in the right direction, and I am feeling really good about my progress and new lifestyle. Just got to remember what got me here and 25 lbs lighter. Lets not forgot the obvious, I know even at the age of 36, I can honestly say, I am in the best shape of my life, and that enough is all I need to maintain my present goals. hope everyone is doing well, from the journals I have read, everyone is doing a great job and without sounding like a father figure I am very proud of all of you.

Kevin:seeya:

well well, isn't that a pip. So I lost my pound. WOOT. What a good day today. I got everything done on my list, and then some, gotta love that.

Things are going really well, just loving life and taking names. Not alot to report, I got a really nice compliment today while tanning (well not actually in the bed, lol) Just was the icing on the cake and very flattering.

Hope all is well, diet is going really well, like to shift it around and test the waters and see where things fall. Exercise is just amazing, still on a high from lastnights workout, I am hoping tonights is just a good, but realistically I know those special workouts where you feel like the energizer bunny, just don't happen all the time. (wishful thinking)

I hope everyone is doing well. And as always thank you to all that are supportive in my 6-pack plan, it is truly appreciated.

Have a super-di-dooper day.

Kevin

Well I already wrote today but, I just had to celebrate with my "little family" about my incredible workout. It was amazing. I thought lastnight was good, but something about this workout was well just amazing. Okay get a grip Kevin, it was a workout, not the lotto.

Oh downfall, got dumped today. (no commet on that one)

I am pretty nervous about the whole racing thing towards the end of the summer, any bikers out there have any suggestions for training, they are shorter runs, just don't want to embarrass myself. I am sure I will get some pointers as we are finally all getting together for our first group ride on Friday.
But any pointers will be appreciated.

I have decided, like in the beginning of my journal, to start writing what things I have eaten, and exercise performed, to get back on track for the real reason I started this journal. I really can't remember everything I ate today, so, I will be starting that portion tomorrow.

Besides the obvious just an amazing day today, really in the zone and I am really excited about things to come. And as I mentioned in my previous post, I lost a pound woot woot.
