So Im trying to cut down right....

Ive decided to do alternations between jogging on a treadmill, and swimming.
My question is, is there a point/what is the point of using incline on the treadmill? I seem to notice that women tend to speed walk on high incline, while most men seem to jog on little or no incline.
 
heavy compounds 3x a week. Low volume, heavy weight, low reps, deficit diet.

Don't jog necessarily but do more high intensity interval training. (though this is uneccsary, a proper maintenance workout to maintain muscle while having a small deficit is a sure and steady way to cut).
 
Whenever I'm on a treadmill (thankfully not much except for warming up now), I set the default to 1% incline. I do this to "mimic" more of what it is like running outside.
