well god there is lots to know depending on your goals. i have had two kids and a couple of abdo surgerys and my abs are rock solid and toned. i do pilates 1 x a week and i do three min planks straight up then one arm each side rotating up so my shoulders are square. i also do weighted crunches as many as i can handle to around twenty then i up the weight by 5 lbs 2 sets i do this on the decline bench too and then i do the old elbow knee ones and pelvic tilts with weight and reverse crunches i do these on a day i work my upper bod. i also do taebo and i have a dog that i walk 4 times a day pulling my 2 kids in a wagon(about 100lbs or so) over a stone path. but that is just abs i do back also can't do one without the other. i'm going to add the suitcase lift to this too. i started without the weights though until it was too easy and then added weights. so i don't know if you want you can pm me and i answer any questions you have. i usually post on the guys section cause they give great advice.

not really it doesn't take that long to do and it depends on how bad you want it. like i said it depends on your goals mine are quite different bc i am a paramedic in training i lift ppl everyday and if you've looked around lately you'll notice they are not looking too light! so i lift heavier and do major work on my core as a job and health safety thing. so the plus side is i have a smokin' hot bod that i'm proud of. but i work for it. and i love working out. believe me i have very little time- 2 kids under 5, school, rideouts , hospital rotations, a dog and i'm single. anything worth haven' is worth working towards. so over kill not for me BUT like i said it depends on YOUR goals. and that you still have yet to answer or what you do now. there is no info to go on so i relayed what i do but i am not just starting out.

sorry just read your profile now i get it. i'm 31 so i've many years on you. so sorry try pilates and interval training. get some cardio in there and do some light abs but don't expect to look like you work it hard if you don't work it hard.

lol.....(thinking to self..*get workouts for dumbies,beginniers,and yunngings*)
well yeah lol just imma do basic cardio and diet to start off so i wont drown ....

its a start we all got to start somewhere. good for you for deciding to get moving. most(98%) of the girls in my class around your age do nothing they even skip gym class and this year they are failling it miserably when testing time comes which is every couple of months. we have to lift etc the same stuff as the guys so it is tough esp when your little. so codus to you for getting going. although i wouldn't deit in that sense just make the choice to eat better. i know that is tough in college but essential none the less. good luck keep us posted on your progress. we will cheer you on and be proud of your victories and help encourage you if you fall off the fitness wagon. :)

WOW, Jenn I'm impressed!!! Nice that your able to work out like you do. For therealashland, the key will be your determination to stick with your ideal of working out. Doing it religiously and not giving up. If you commit to it, you will see some results. It will be harder at first but your persistence will pay. Remember, 21 straight days of consistent effort to form or to break a habit. You can do it :)
