swim time

swim time coming up soon june 2010.

current weight : 155
possible to lose 30 pounds?
the age old question

pluses:
drinking WATER mostly
sometimes Vitamin Water, Gingerale or Chocolate Milk
Very infrequently juice like Orange because too much hurts my stomach
Lamistra helps with my involuntary skin picking, skin clearing up, makes me feel better about myself

started up GYM time

minuses:
going crazy every other day
sleep patterns off again
not much energy
starting to eat candy, junk food again, not enough real meals
due to sleep pattern and lack of funds

Hey how's the gym going? And the job hunting? Haven't seen you around in a while. Hope all is good with you. Come back and update soon. Take care of yourself.:seeya:

Hey just checking in. I'm doing ok. Havent had much time to get online lately but trying to drink TEA and eat more Veggies.

I did some shoveling at my mom's and I am so sore! At least it was a workout, right? Trying to do some walking. Went to the gym to do weights once but didnt stick with it, as it made me hella tired the next day and the day after that, and the day after that. So, I am pretty out of shape. But, I think my diet has improved.

Weight is hovering around 157. Which is definitely better than the 165 when I started.
I hope to lose the rest before my ten year reunion which is in October. 32 pounds to go!

PS Have you seen the new Project Runway? I really like it.

Gave up meat, eating more beans and veggies.
Cut out soda for the most part, replaced with tea (milk + honey too)

Feeling better. Still tired a lot of the time. Can only go about a half day with energy.

Started playing TENNIS and VOLLEYBALL.

Hey good to see you around! Glad you are feeling better too! MAke sure your still getting lots of protein with cutting out meat - that will have a lot to do with how much energy you have. I've noticed that my energy really increases after a work out so keep that up and you will feel better all day! Stop by more often and update us - it's great to hear from you.
Have a good weekend.

149 and counting down

Goal is to lose 2 lbs a week.
So in two weeks hope measurements show 145.

Changed overall goal to 130 to keep self from freaking out. Also think its more realistically achievable and maintained. if I maintain that for awhile can reevaluate after.

So say it takes 3 weeks to lose each 5 lbs (giving some leeway here)
then in less than 4 months I should be down 20 lbs. That will be before September. Want to maintain that for at least two months before going down again.

Latest and Greatest

Put up new pics. Proud of my progress. I hadn't realized my body *looked* so different naked. 165---> 148. I knew it felt better but it really does look a lot better huh. My stomach still isn't flat or anywhere near flat, and I still dont like the way my thighs look in the bathtub, I wont lie. !!! But feeling good about myself. Check ya later. Bye.

3 pounds to my Mini Goal!!

:patriot:

The meat issue

Added back poultry to my diet, but eat it three times a week or less.

Have been gorging on soda but thats because i didnt get my weekly fix of ONE cold one every saturday, for two straight weeks and was practically DREAMING of the stuff. Been trying to eat balanced meals.

That is awesome! You are doing so good and really only making small changes!! I know you will reach your mini goal any week now! Just keep pushing Ash!!

Am eating BREAKFAST Consistently, big difference in MOOD and ENRGy. sweet.

Salads for dinner or lunch but not both. Gotta get some grains in their and keep it balanced.

Workout Videos

Have been checking out some Workout Videos.

The Gist So Far:

Brazil Butt Lift - Like it. Is just hard enough to be a little bit sore and feel like I am using my muscles but not so hard that I am sore all the next day and so on. A little hard on the knees.

The Tracy Anderson Method - Love the workout, not such a fan of the music. Sometimes I take my own Ipod and listen to Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.

Richard Simmon's Sweating to the Oldies 2 - Not a fan, too much cheesy moves and wasted time being dorky. The songs weren't even the cool songs from the 50s and 60s. However it was a no stress workout that is good for days when you just don't feel like working out at all. I probably won't use this one much. Seems geared toward larger women who struggle to move their bodies much in the way of exercise. The choreography is alright though, some good arm exercises with light weights, some light leg lifts on the mat, and a wide variety of dances.

Richard Simmon's 60's Blast Off - Much shorter than Sweating. Only half an hour and about 10 min. of it is light warmup and cool down. The moves are a bit tricky as I don't know 60s music but is a good light workout for days when you dont have much time or dont want a high impact workout. I like this one better than Sweating and will probably alternate it between more intense workouts with other videos.

The Firm- Dangerous Curves Ahead. -Too Intense

The Firm- Total Body Makeover - Way Too Intense.
Relies too much on step aerobics and dancey moves. The women's boobs are shoved in the viewers face in tiny leotards. I am not jealous but it's a little distracting.

I also ordered from Amazon.com:

Exhale Core Fusion:Thighs and Glutes which does a lot of sculpting using mat and chair moves. Have not checked it out yet.

Hip Hop for Abs: Hips Buns and Thighs. Have not tried it out yet. Is structured like a hip hop class, with out any sculpting, lunges or squats.

I will be trying out one more video, which is available from my Netflix:
Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Body Slimming Yoga. If I like it a lot, I will purchase it.

Hi Lisa
My photos are in an album. If you click on my username, you will see my profile, and look under Albums. One is called Weekly Updates even though my updates are far from Weekly. (whoops). There's a bunch of photos there. The latest one isnt a closeup but you can still get the idea:
ASH JULY 8TH 145 2010. There is another one from May 2010 and that is about how my stomach looks now. I think I was 147 when I took that.

15 Pounds To GOAL!!!

3 MONTHS til...

...My 10 Year Reunion is at the End of November. So that's really a little more than four months away since it is still Mid July. But if I kick off five pounds a month, I can totally have a killer bod by then. Sweet.
