So, today is June 20, 2007. I realized last Sunday that I'm fat, really fat. For a minute, I was angry at my husband, but then realized he didn't cause this. I LET myself get this way, and now I'm determined to do something about it.
-- How much weight do you want to lose? Hmmm, I'm 264 now. When I met my husband, I was 175, and felt great, but know that I wasn't at my optimum weight. So, I want to get down to 145. That's 119 pounds.
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight? By the end of 2008, so 1.5 years.
-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)? First, I HAVE to stop drinking soda. It's day 3, and I've only been drinking one a day. By next week, I'll be down to 1 every other day. I'm cutting out the junk food snacks, and eating mindlessly while watching television. We eat healthy meals, but I'm only having one plate, and not heaping it full. My son is conditioning for football, so we're going to the fields every evening, and I am running with him. I can only do 1 lap to his 3, though, right now.
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal? My husband and my children are all looking forward to my being able to fit on the roller coasters and jump on the trampoline, so they're my biggest supporters!
-- How realistic is your goal? Definitely realistic.
-- When will you start? I started Monday, June 18, 2007.
