Slave to my Addictions. . .

Yesterday was a busy day! Got up at six, wrote my economics exam at 8:30 AM- well actually at 9 AM cuz the prof was late so we had to write it late and I was late for work since I had to go straight to work at 12 noon! Then I worked till 7 PM.

Atleast now all my exams are over and I'm freeee!!! Till january

Food Nov 17:

1. 2 scrambled eggs with pepper.

2. 2 cups coffee with 1/4 cup 2% milk and 1 teaspoon sugar each.

3. 6-inch subway turkey breast sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, and light mayo.

4. 6 fries with dip @ work

5. A splash of fruitopia and iced tea in my large glass of water at work.

6. 1 bowl of spaghetti with homemade tomato/veggie sauce with ground beef.

7. 2 cans of beer (Canadian)

Could've had more fruits and veggies but I'll cut myself some slack cause it was a very busy day.

Weighed in at 200.6 today! Almost under the 200s woohoo! :D

Ok so anyways, yesterday when I tried to weigh myself, my digital scale kept having errors and it wouldn't tell me a weight! :(

So today I tried again and it said I weighed 207! I know my weight fluctuates but I was like seriously? So I tried again and it said error. I went downstairs to use this really old needle scale I have and that one said 201, so I'm going to go with that. I really hope my beautiful glass digital scale isn't broken!

Not going to lie I was a little disappointed because I'm really anticipating being under the 200s and I was so close! But I'm not too disappointed because throughout this journey my weight has gone up and down on a daily basis and I know if I keep making healthy eating choices and going to the gym in the long run it will keep going down.

And I did have a small victory, because I worked a double shift and at the end of the night when I went home my bf wanted to order pizza which sounded really good and easy but I said we should eat something home-cooked and healthier. So even though I was tired I made us the above mentioned "leftover" burritos lol and they were actually really good! My bf was impressed and I was happy because we ate something healthier and delicious.

Even though I've only been keeping this diary for a couple days it has made me more aware of my bites of this and that and nibbles throughout the day! I need to keep an eye on that because I'm sure calorie-wise there really adding up (especially the fries/dip at work- gotta kick that habit!).

On the other hand, if I can have a bite of something and satisfy the craving, I feel a lot better about that than in the past when I would've eaten the whole thing!

I'll update with food for today later!

I've always heard the needle scales are a little less accurate, but every digital scale I've tried to use gives me a different weight within 5 or 6 pounds, even just taking 10 second breaks in between stepping onto it. I don't trust them anymore!

Have a nice holiday!

I've heard that the needle scales are more accurate! But that was just word of mouth so it could be wrong. I like how the digital scales tell you 200.x pounds so you can celebrate even a small loss hehe. But as you say you can step on one minute and it says this and then five minutes later it will show you will have lost or gained five pounds!

I know the most accurate ones are those ones at the Dr.'s where you adjust the little slidey things but don't have one of those kicking around my place hehe !

Its nice to track your weight numbers on the scale but I guess your just as good off measuring how you look/your clothes fit and whether you can truly say to yourself, did make healthy choices?

I'm going to see if I can get my Dad or boyfriend to look at the scale and see if there's something wrong. I recently changed the battery for the first time not sure if that has something to do with it- don't know why it would.

Food for Nov. 21

1. 2 cups of coffee with 1/4 cup milk and 1 tsp. sugar each

2. 2 scrambled eggs, fruit smoothie made with half a banana, 1/4 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup 2% milk, and 1 tablespoon probiotic yogurt.

3. 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 1 multigrain cracker

4. 1 small piece homemade banana bread with scraping margarine

5. 7 honey garlic wings at the pub, 1 tbsp ranch. :piggy:

6. 1.5 beers (Canadian)

I know that wings were definitely not the healthiest choice. Possibly the worst part is I told myself after I would eat a salad or raw veggies at home and I did not :(. But at least I didn't eat anything else at the pub. I had a nice time out with my friends and they were suggesting sharing some other stuff but I said no, I think this is enough crappy food for me!

I was craving wings and they were satisfying when I ate them but after I really didn't feel too good my stomach felt heavy and kind of crappy. So I'm going to try to remember that next time! When I make healthy choices, my stomach thanks me!

When I don't, it usually gets its revenge!

Exercise for yesterday: 20 mins on treadmill, 40 on elliptical of moderate/high intensity running. + 5min cool down and stretching. Calories burned according to display: 814. :D

Tonight I am getting together with my best friend to have dinner and watch our favorite Christmas movies! We are both picking one movie to watch and I am choosing White Christmas for mine :D I loooove White Christmas. I love Christmas movies in general lol! Sooo I'm really excited for that and looking forward to making us a nice healthy dinner before hand!

I'm off to the gym now! I'll check in later with food.

Merry Christmas to All!!! :santa:

Wow nice!!! Very impressive. I'm in business school and just took my first accounting class last semester. I was dreading it but I actually somewhat enjoyed it- as much as you can enjoy school lol!

So yesterday was my Christmas movie watching night and I indulged in some holidays goodies and paid for it on the scale this morning - 202.6. My short-term goal is to be in the 190s by Jan 1st and I'm going to have to be very good if I wanna get there!

At least I don't really have anything else planned that involves Christmas goodies except Christmas Dinner which can be a pretty healthy meal if you're smart about it.

Good news: when I weighed myself on the scale this morning it didn't have any errors and i weighed myself three times in a row and got the same result :) - seems to be working again!

Food for Nov. 22

1. 2 cups of coffee with 2% milk and 1 tsp sugar

2. 1 piece of homemade bread with cheddar cheese melted on it, 1 egg, pepper, ketchup and a fruit smoothie (half a banana, 1/2 cup strawberrries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1 tbsp. probiotic yogurt and 1/4 cup 2% milk)

2. 8 yam fries with dip @ work, 1 bite of my friends chicken strip.

3. Roast beef sandwich - 1 piece homemade bread, reduced fat mayo, mustard, pepper, roast beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and 1 bowl of campbell's vegetable soup.

4. 1 hot wing, 4 honey garlic wings, 1/2 tbsp. ranch, large tossed salad with greek dressing, half of a whole grain roll.

5. 4 crackers with cheese, 1 serving of tortilla chips with salsa, 4 pieces celery, one piece homemade banana bread with scraping margarine

6. 1 vodka paralyzer, 2 hot chocolates with baileys. :angelsad2:

Exercise: 1 hour on elliptical @ the gym, 5 min cooldown and stretching. Calories burned (display) - 806

So when I asked my girlfriend if she would wanna come over to my place for dinner and then go to her place to watch the movies, she told me she already had a dinner planned and it was wings! :p So wings again although these were home cooked so I'm hoping they were a little bit better than the pub ones which I'm sure are deep fried. (Btw, her wings were better! :D) Atleast she made a delicious green salad with tomatos, cucumbers, onions, peppers and celery. . .

So I succumbed again to the fries at work! :( I just get hungry at work and the fries are free so someone will punch in a basket or two and we will all go back and have a few when its slow. It's just not a good idea because they are unhealthy deep fried and it's not like they truly fill me up. So I've decided I'm going to start bringing a healthy snack to work  so I can eat that when I'm hungry.

2 more sleeps 'till Christmas! <3
