SkinnyKate's Diary

Im glad too HH!

NTL me either! Well, at least the spring time! Down here we have early summer, summer, late summer and Christmas for the 4 seasons!:p

Mornin' Kate :D great job on lowerin' the meds! I'll trade temps with ya... PLEASE! Today is only supposed to hit 15! man, its a good day to sit with a good book and cup of hot tea (I don't drink that sludge people call coffee :p:D), but alas I have to work.... with warm chocolate :) maybe there is a bright side to this afterall! :D

LOL. I loved your take on the four seasons of Texas! And you are exactly right. I am loving this warm weather right now. Best part is, I can throw the kids outside to play, and my house stays cleaner. Yeah!

It has been so nice this week, I am actually thinking of going to the nursery to buy some plants for the yard. I love planting plants in the spring. Of course, they usually end up dying, but if you can overlook that part, its quite fun!

Congrats on being able to lower your meds. My hubby has been on HBP pills for years. I know he would love to see a day when he could get off of them competely.

Keep up the great work and hope you enjoy this wonderful weather! :)

Morning Girlfriend Hope You Have A Great Day And Your Ready To Lose Them Pounds Cause That Is What We Are Going To Do This Month So Get Moving And Stay Focused Hehehe

good Morning! Its always so nice to wake up and see how many early birds greet me in here! And Fluff! Oh I know what u mean about the plants! I may even start me up a small vegetable garden this season. I LOVE tomatoes that I grew myself! I also have good luck with this soil growing bell peppers cantaloupes and of course squash is always easy. Not so much luck with the watermelons, not sandy enuff.:*sigh*

I wound up doing 4 miles yesterday, tsk tsk...hoping TODAY to do the six!! Well, we will see how things go.

G'Morning Kate darling! :) Good luck with today's 6 miles!! I'm rootin for ya..

As for the veggies.. hmph. I'm jealous!! We live in red clay soil more or less.. :( the land o' bricks. And it just bites for growing.. not to mention the deer, the lovely deer want to eat it all!! :D Alas.. maybe I'll just have to pay you for your Texan veggies! ;)

4 miles is great! Don't be disappointed with that.

My hubby was wanting to do a garden last year, but never got around to it. When I was little, we always had a garden. I loved it. It does always seem to taste better right out of the garden. The main things I liked were the cucumbers and tomatoes. I seem to remember them trying watermelons once too, and it didn't work for them either.

best place Ive ever grown watermelons was up in Weatherford. Reeeally sandy up there. Mmmm if only watermelon wasnt 7 bucks a pop!

I did FIVE MILES just now, all at once! Im so stoked!:D It felt SO good too! My hair looks like a matted ratted mess from the sweating, but it sure felt good! lots of RUNNING not jogging, and that felt great too!

Only problem is I came home starving! Just ate some brisket and chicken and think maybe a little oatmeal might be in order, as that was not enuff to fill me!

So:
Food
half cup chopped chicken and tomatoes with lime 100
half cup brisket 150
peaches 50
coffee cream 50
350 so far
wow i got busy and didnt get to eat again until 7pm..I was soo hungry, and what happened? Well I made a greek salad and more chicken and tomato leftovers, and couldnt even finish it!
chicken 200
rice 200
greek salad WITH feta, mm 150
900
coffee cream 50
950
half can tuna 50
two small pieces of italian bread 100
1100
5 miles, 15 stair sets.

WOW!!! that is awesome. keep up the good work! very impressive, adding distance and running!!! whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 miles?! Way to go! Don't worry about that hair being a mess. I'm sure you looked great anyway. Don't you just hate how you are starving after a good workout? Kind of feels like you did all that work just to eat so much that it defeats the purpose! I'll be so glad when I can exercise and feel like that again! Lol!

That's the bad thing about having such warm weather. Gotta get that sunscreen out early.

Wow Kate, I'm so happy for you I want to go out and run too (except I might die going 5 miles, not to mention it's COLD here). That's excellent. How long did it take you before you could run that far all at once, or have you always been a runner?

Oh dear I hate to admit, I cant run that whole way yet! I mix it up with fast walking because Im just not that in shape yet. Another bad thing is my age..and with age comes aches and pains never before felt:mad: But Ill get there! Dad used to make us all run a mile a day as youngsters, so its in my blood...And I LOVE Arizona! Its so beautiful! from the deserts to the canyons to the mountains!!*sigh*
