SkinnyKate's Diary

Oh your poor girl! What will she do?! :p  (sigh) It's so hard being 16. I remember that age, and I know I didn't really care that the nerds were most likely going to the ones with the best jobs later on.

I got some chocolates today. I will be more than happy to share with you!

My youngest daughter couldn't wait for her Valentine's day party either. She was so excited! My son, on the other hand, was horrified. He finds Valentine's day hideously embarrasing. Poor guy. He had to give out Valentines at school, so I found the most boy-ish ones I could find. When I picked him up from school I asked him how his day went, he just sighed and said he was glad it was over! He did like the cookies they got to eat in class though!

I have already had my few chocolates for the day. Trying very hard to keep from making it ten or more. lol.

Keep up the great work!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. :)

oh wow, how they change when they grow up!!! My littlest D came home with her 'Valentine's' card..the one from 'Jackson' in her hand...then told me as we got into the car that "he told me he was just kidding, he didnt wanna be my Valentine" so I guess good ol peer pressure got to the boy.:D

Kate, aww that stinky boy! Your poor daughter. Oh well. Gosh they start SO early! :)

Hope you have a fabulous day. Wishing that your BP stays under control today. No idea why it is so wacky for you. poor thing! :( Well.. hopefully it will behave today.. Have a good one!

Mornin' Kate :) Didn't she know boy suck at that age?! LOL they DO mature more slowly than girls ;) Hope you have a great day today and keep up all that awesome work you do :D

Goood morning!!

started off early today, and enjoying the really warm weather. My windows are open, and its supposed to be about 80 today! and tomorrow! BUT that arctic front is showing up tomorrow night..bundle up fellow Texans!

Food
half chicken breast 100
cucumbers 25
sliver of cheese 50
175

3 miles moderate speed. no jogging, just fast walking Broke only moderate sweat. no steps..I think sometimes my body gets sluggish in humidity. yuk
Im learning more about what happens to me when I work out. For the time that we exercise, our blood vessels open up and pressure goes up a lil. But when we stop, and then rest, the pressure goes normal or even low. It may be that I simply have to either wait until Im adjusted, or live with it. At least for about 30 minutes or so, its all good. Also know that on meds, we need more cool down time.

off to visit diaries!!

Ok, what I want to know is this: where did you get fudgecicles that are only 50 calories?? I must be looking in the wrong place. I need to find some of those!

I don't know where Kate gets her's but the fudgecicles I have are only 70 calories per serving (and a serving is two bars!). Anyway, they are made by Blue Bunny and they are called Sweet Freedom Fudge Lites. Not as good as the real deal (of course) but they're pretty darn good! :D

Hey! Looks great! Just curious, how long did it take you to do 3 miles? The other day I ran about 2 and walked the other one and it seemed to take forever. I guess 35 min.? I was on the treadmill, so that can make anything seem longer.

Fudgecicles sp? sound great!!

i get fudgecicles anywhere from 40-50 cals, sug free

it takes me 15 minutes to walk/run a mile and a half to the bottom of the hill i go on..then i do my steps if i feel up to it, then trudge back up the hill and do it all in about an hour, including stopping for stretches. I figure an hour out of my life a day may just prolong it!
