lol!

they're great! i love things like that, nice to laugh about it when half the time is spent counting calories and frowning over the lack of allowance of chocolate cake on our diet!

:) LOL!

I had to give up jogging. My thighs rubbed together and my pants caught on fire!

See Kate walk. See Kate jog. See Kate sprint. Four miles, oh yes four miles. Six sets of stairs, Kate did. And then. The Hill.

See Kate chicken out half way down the beast. See Kate go sloooow. See ant passing Kate. See Ant pointing ant leg at Kate and laugh. See Kate step on bug.

Yeah, I managed half of the stupid thing. Sure felt good!

OMG you are toooo funny!!!! I love it! I bet if felt good to tackle that beasty! You have to eat a bear one bite at a time so why not Killer Hill?!!!:D You are doin' great Kate. Keep it up :) Killer Hill look out!!!

Oh Happy Day!

Like a lot of people here, weekends are hard. So far I am just SO proud of myself! Last night My sister anjd I went out for some planned fun. We went to Olive Garden. Guess who got chicken and grilled vegetables!!! Guess who had 2 beers alll night! Mememememe ME! I barely went over my calories, and Feel wonderful about it. I was really scared I wouldnt be able to do it, but I surprised myself.

I slept in and now my bp is a little outta wack this morning. So Im waiting to get the pulse down, so I can have a good walk again today. Its saturday, so getting it done early isnt a big deal to me. Getting it done sometime today is, and my sister wants to join me! She wants to set herself goals with me, and I couldnt be happier!

Who knows if other times will be so good. Visits and weekends are a struggle, but planning for them sure did make it easier!:p

Congratulations Kate! Way to go! I am so proud of you! :) Thsoe are the ideal steps to take when in the struggling situations in order for that "life style change"!! :) That's so awesome!

And how wonderful your sister wants to come and join you herself! What great motivation for you. Keep up the wonderful work!!

Thanks Newleaf. It sure doesnt hurt to have to come in here and have to face myself and others! It keeps me on course. Im bound to do mess ups. But It sure is easier to PLAN mess ups, and be conscious of decisions BEFORE they happen. Its a system I can live with, I think:)

So far today...

hey well done! sounds like u were very restrained. i often struggle keeping low on the alcohol - not that i would drink more than a few (i am a rather quiet student lol) but they tend to be high-cal drinks and i forget that they take cals out of my allowance too. Good job tho!

thank you! Honestly, I was designated driver last night, and my sis got 'happy':D Next time, after I hit a 20 pound loss, Im driving up to her house and SHE gets to be designated, While "i" have the fun! I can do a sixer and Im a gigglin fool!

I did 3 miles this mornin, and wouldnt have been able to if I hadnt restrained myself.

way to go Kate :D You should be proud of yourself!!! Your choices at the Olive Garden were great! Way to go w/ your walking as well!!! I love to walk - except in the winter. Then I stick with indoor workouts ;)

Keep up the good work Kate!!!

BizeB, I appreciate that. The only thing that scares me is that I am not sure if the veggies were cooked in oil or not. It didnt taste like they were, but whooo knows. Its what makes eating out so worrisome.

You're doing awesome Kate and thanks for checking in on me today... I know I've been MIA for awhile but I'm back and reading to kick it into full gear.
Let me know what you need help with as far as the weights go... I'd love to help! :D
Keep up the good work!

ok paula im going to post in your diary, because everyone knows you do em, everyone knows i DONT do em, and would think to look your way for the advice on it. Thanks, Paula!

For today, another lazy start. Gonna have to bundle up because we finally got some RAIN last night! Its tapering off, but in the forties now. I love walking in the cold. I can sweat when its snowing, but at least in the cold its not as bad. Nothing grosser than a woman in the summertime, walking in the humidity, and having sweat running down her back, her front, her face, and around the butt area. I look like a drenched rat. Yuk.

Ok, off to hit the trail!

lol, i agreee. i hate walking in the sun and being drenched thru, people look at u so funny! it's mortifying, but just one of those things i guess!

Go Skinny Kate! Wowsers, you're doing so good!
So how ar eyou feeling so far darl?

As for protein bars, the only ones i've eve rhad are the Powerbars...i had the chocolate, the vanilla and the strawberry...and i liked them all...but i don't eat them now because they have too much sugar. See I thought i wasn't doing and particular diet or anything like that, but then i realised that i am cutting down my refined sugar intake (subconciously!) so i don't have protein bars even though i absolutely love them. I haven't tried the atkins ones though, which i assume would be low sugar.
Maybe when I feel i'm really stepping up my exercising and activity i will start to have some again.
