six pack -how long?

How long would you figure it would take on average for a 6', 150 lb, 19 y/o, med. frame male eating a bit over maintenance and doing a full body workout 3X a week, to get abs worthy of a six pack (to the point where a clean cut would make them show)? 4 months? 6 months? a year?

I know I've heard 100's of times that abs are made in the kitchen, but I just came off a 8 month cut and I can tell you when I was done there was no abs when all the fat came off. Not like that's what I was expecting, lol.

well as long as ur diet stays in check and you keep your workouts good then it probably take about no longer then 6 months id think. probably less. just make sure you add in some additional ab isolation exercises maybe once or twice a week in your workouts.

I would say any where between 4-6 months. That is along you stick to your diet plan. I would recomend you do some specific work on your abs maybe 2-4 times a week will help you get fatser results.

Let me no how you get on!!!

keep in mind abs are like any other muscle and you shouldn't not be isolating and over training them like mad. doing situps everyday isn't going to do anything but help you do more sit ups. most people don't need any direct ab work if they're lifting a good routine.

When I work out I try and do at least one isolated abdominal exercise. I also do isolated exercises for my transverse and my obliques. And I only work out 3X a week.

I started the beginning of april, so I should have decent ab muscles by around sept. I guess.
