Six months to get fit (and hot)

Good on you Katie for the good work outs. I have to say that my thighs are pretty sore right now :)
Have to say, that was totalling asking for a 'yo mumma' joke there :D

I've had a good day today.

I've eaten about 2000cal but I did 12km of walking, so I'm definately below my goal cals for the day. Mostly I've had good quality food (but some choccies thrown in too).

I'm beginning to feel really fit which is nice. I went to the sales and bought a new exercise top and capri pants (both large instead of XL!!!) which I feel really fit in. I know I want to lose more fat, but I'm really enjoying the fit feeling. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get into my ski pants this winter (6 months to go ) without a muffin top and without cutting off circulation to my legs haha. I might even get a ski pass this year. I didn't for the last 2 years because of trying to get pregnant and also feeling crap about my body!

It's time to stop putting life on hold for maybes.. and live for reality!
woot! thats soo awesome! i think it really hits home when you drop the X off any label size :D

Hey all.

I haven't been on here for a coupla days. But I have been exercising and eating well. I think I might actually lose some weight this week! That would be cool...

I've been using mapmyrun over the last week and its really motivational with the total of your weeks mileage (kilometerage for me, but we still say mileage... mad aye).

I went to as hot yoga class this morning, first in about a year! It was tough. I'm fitter but not yoga fitter (if that makes sense?), anyway we (hubby and I) are going to go to 10 classes over the next 3 weeks or so. I find it really helps with my hunger (ie turns it off) so can push the whole fat loss along.

My hubby bought some bags of chips/crisps yesterday, and last night I said 'where are the chips I;m gonna eat some' and he said ' no you're not I've hidden them' and then I didn't really want them anymore, so that was cool of him :)

I'm tired from all the exercise... need to get some sleep, hoping to catch up with everyone;s diaries tommorrow at work!

Hey Anna! Happy New Year!!
I love the positivity in your posts lately! Feeling fit is so much better than just cutting cals and losing weight without exercise! I'm loving my heart rate monitor - really makes a big difference to my workouts.
You will totally get into those ski pants!! No giving up! Good work on hubby's part too! Keep it up!

Hey Lisa
I love my heart rate monitor. It makes me work harder for sure :)

I had another good day today. Cals on track (1500 after exercise) and I did a hot yoga class and walked the dog. Normal carb today :)

Yesterday I ate around 1400cals (after exercise) and did a swim and jog combo. I ate low carb yesterday too which was different.

The exercise is definately key for me. It means I can eat a little extra without panicking, and it actually makes me want to eat healthy food.

I had a sneaky weigh in and it was below 92 (91.9 kg) , I feel like I've been stuck on 92.5 forever! I hope those scales go down some more and pay me back for all the hard work :)

anna

Yesterday was my official weigh day, and I was down to 91.3 kg which is real good. I was hovering between 92.5 and 93.5 for ages.

I'd really like to get below 90 kg in the next month or slow.... man this stuff seems to take FOREVER...

I went swimming today and then I took the evening off my 'diet/cal counting whatever' and had chocolate almonds and a coupla biscuits. It was prob the wine with dinner that made me lose my way... ooops... anyway I'll try to go hard again for the next few days before another calorie budget blowout.

Tommorow is a day off work for me, and I'm going to be really busy, so I'm getting up early for a brisk walk with the dog and then going to a 10am yoga, so I can get everything else done in the afternoon. Should be a good day for the healthy eating diet plan etc...

Hi Anna, way to go!:hug2:

My weight was up on weigh in day but down today, lol

Well it is cold here, no swimming until the pool opens in June. Nearest YMCA is 45 minutes away. We have another Anna on the board (a newbie).

Did you get your land?

AnnaG

Thanks guys,

We're still negotiating on the land. We thought it was all sorted but we couldn't get insurance because of a big earthquake that we had here in christchurch in September last year. We think it might all be sorted out now. Here's hoping that we'll be moving in in early Feb.

I did my walk and yoga this morning and have eaten correct cals today, so that is a good day for weight loss.

I've also spent alot of today watching the news about the flooding in Australia. It's really a huge disaster over there, and we are worrying abou friends and family (and about everyone else too). Hopefully out WLF aussie friends are all ok :)

anna

I'm not anywhere near the floods but it's on our tvs 24/7, its horrible, but watching the aussies rally together and helping each other out, complete strangers volunteering... it really makes me proud to be an aussie :)

Heya! Sorry i never caught up with you in chch, good luck on the moving though.

I only just realized we are about the same weight and with similar goals! Not sure i have a time limit on mine though at this stage, just 'off as fast as i can' works for me :D

Just thought I would drop in and say Hi, I know you are going to have your hands full packing things to move. It looks like you are doing a good job counting calories. I have been trying to check out the calorie counting. Most food items has the calories written on the package, but some do not. Wondering if I am staying in my calorie range with Weight Watchers points. Most of the time I stay full with counting the points.

I sure miss your post AnnaB, hurry and get your packing done!! I hope everything is going good for you and yours.

Hey Anna :)
That's great news about the land, you must be so excited about th upcoming move - and well done on all the exercise. I used to do yoga years ago, you might have inspired me to give it another go! I might did out my old Yoga DVD this afternoon. How cool is your hubby too, for doing it with you and hiding the chips?

That was awesome of you to think of all the Aussies, and like Katie said, I'm so proud to be an Aussie too when I see all these people volunteering and doing anything they can to help the poor flood victims out. I hope your friens and fam are safe too. My brother works as a prison guard/officer at a huge jail in Brisbane and they were even having big trouble there with other guards flooded out/lack of staff etc. Scary stuff!

Congrats on the loss too Anna - you'll be under 90 in no time :)

Hey everyone I can't believe its 10 days since I was here! I've been sooooo busy, life's been crazy. Up until 3 days ago I was still counting cals and exercising, but I feel like it is all about to slip. ugh

So here I am getting focussed and trying to re-motivate.

I'll come back later tonigth and catch up on the rest of you all and also I think I'll write my food in here for a few days just to help get back on track :)

See you soon

anna

Get back on track today Anna! You'll feel better if you do and you don't want to lose the effort you've already made. Looking forward to your update.:waving:

Well, I tried to come here more often, but I just haven't been having internet time.

I've been eating ok and doind lots of activity so my weight is still the same 91 kg today, and I'm hopeful to actually be down a bit by the end of the week.

I really want to spend a bit more time here and catch up with everyone :)

I just stopped by to see if you had came back. I hope how soon you get settled in your new house and can get back on the computer.:seeya:

Hey Everyone.

Well it has been one crazy month for me. We moved out to our new house which has been great. I love the country lifestyle, and don't mind the commute (apart form the price of fuel which has really gone up). Anyway, we picked Feb as a month to have another go at me getting pregnant (Assisted reproductive techniques, not quite as fun as the natural way). Anyway we did a frozen embryo transplant on the 18th of Feb (one we had prepared earlier :)), and then we had to hurry up and wait....

On the 22nd we had a BIG earthquake in Christchurch. There has been lots of deaths and lots of roads and buildings damaged. We were lucky that in our immediate family everyone is ok, although I have lost a dear friend who I worked with. I am still feeling very sad about that. We have had 12 people staying at our house which is a long way from the epi centre of the earthquake, and I have had to work straight through the whole drama as I am considered essential services (air traffic controller). Many people are still without power water and sewerage. Those of you who know CHCH won't recognise it any more :(

Anyway I neglected to get my blood test on the correct day, but a few days later it seems as though I'm pregnant! Very early days and one of the hardest secrets to keep (obviously everyone in the house knows though). I have a scan in 2 weeks to confirm :)

So that is my month in a nutshell. I thought I'd come and catch up with you guys. I'm sure my lower weight and higher fitness helped me through such a stressful time and it was coming here that made that possible.... anyways I'll probably keep lurking and catch up on some diaries.

Hope you are all safe and well :)
