Six months to get fit (and hot)

Yesterday's exercise...

30min jog with the dog
90min house cleaning
carolling at rest home (lots of standing and walking:))

Today is another catch up with friends day... so some treats I think tonight.

Planned exercise for today

60min walk with dog
40min at pool
30min walk to town for fun :)
 
WELL I keep not meeting my exercise goals... and I've got excuses .... but it just doesn't really cut it. Yesterday I jogged for about 30min and that was all.

Today I walked for 30min and then did 25 min of my cardio/resistance cct.

The weather has been awful with a mad gale force hot wind for 3 days, We seem to be having a cool change tonight, so hopefully I'll get a better sleep and feel energised tomorrow.

I've been doing the cal thing most days ok, but had corn chips and guacamole last night so that would've put me over. Today was good though. I'm not worrying too much this week, but I'm trying to not put on extra weight through til boxing day. i go back to work on bxing day, so the cal couting will be easier then.

I'm looking forward to losing some more weight in the new year!

man, so jelous atm! i wanna be able to walk! i can ride a bike however, which is pretty much the only thing i can do with my legs lol :D

Good on you for being consistant, thats a huge thing, especially at this time of year when everything is rather topsy turvy!
 
Anna, just wanted to come by and say that you're doing great. Even if you're not exercising as much as you want, as long as you're still moving and counting calories most days it means that you haven't given up :) You'll be fully back on track in no time. While the weather sounds like an excuse, sometimes its actually a legitimate reason!
 
I'm so tired.. its been a huge day, and just after midnight now. I'd definately call today a cheat day! I'm not even gonna try to ad the cals up. Having said that, I really enjoyed food family & fun.

I need to sleep.

Hey all

I've had a BAD week, keep trying to get back into the swing of things and keep failing.

Today I've decided to set my sights a little lower and I'm aiming for good exercise and lots of water drinking for the next couple of days. I'll try to get back into my good eating habits by next Monday. It's just all been to hard for the last few days.

Anyway

Yesterday we went snorkelling and so I though I'd put up a new avatar.

Hey hunny, try not to beat yourself up over the bad week. It's been Christmas which can often be a hard time, even if you're a naturally skinny person. I hope you can get back into it soon, you've done so well and come so far - just remember that!! I believe in you :D
 
hehe love the new avatar, dont get too down about the festive season food, enjoy it for a couple of days, dont resent yourself for getting into the spirit of things or diets will rule your world and make you grumpy at social events :p the trick is to not go overboard i reckon, and, if ur like me, and maybe flirted with the line of 'enjoying festive season' and 'going overboard' just up your exercise for a few days and the guilt will go :p ive been to the gym twice in the last two days, i can hardly walk my legs are so wobbly and sore, i think i've balanced out christmas indulgences :p all the best for the new year :) xx

Thanks everyone, you are all so lovely to me :)

I went for a huuuuge walk today. Up a hill for 50min and then back down again. (I used my heart rate monitor and burnt about 600-700cals), and now I'm drinking lots of water. YUM

That's a massive walk, good job dude! I had good intentions today, but it's like 34 degrees and I'm sweltering :( Arvo swim with the kiddies instead :)

700 cals is AWESOME! Is it really hot over there right now too?
 
I've had a good day today.

I've eaten about 2000cal but I did 12km of walking, so I'm definately below my goal cals for the day. Mostly I've had good quality food (but some choccies thrown in too).

I'm beginning to feel really fit which is nice. I went to the sales and bought a new exercise top and capri pants (both large instead of XL!!!) which I feel really fit in. I know I want to lose more fat, but I'm really enjoying the fit feeling. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get into my ski pants this winter (6 months to go ) without a muffin top and without cutting off circulation to my legs haha. I might even get a ski pass this year. I didn't for the last 2 years because of trying to get pregnant and also feeling crap about my body!

It's time to stop putting life on hold for maybes.. and live for reality!
 
I love that feeling of being fit. I haven't got it at the moment after the christmas indulgences but hope to feel fit again soon.
