Six months to get fit (and hot)

Hey Anna,

The tramping sounds amazing! Hope you have the best time :)
Don't you hate the whole TOM issue, it mucks you around hey :(
Don't worry, just keep going... you're doing so well.
I'm thinking about signing up for aqua aerobics in the next few weeks too.

See you/hear from you when you get back, I look forward to hearing about your mountain adventures :)

Hey jess
I don't go away til tues, so will still be haunting here!!!

I finally caught up with some of my best buddies today. We get together and drink wine and play music (I play bass and fiddle). It was lots of fun.Unfortunately we ate well (read not so well)too. I just added up my cals... not so good eeek. But I don't worry, I was low a few days this week so it evens out. I wish I'd done more exercise today, but I'll go hard tommorrow! It was nice to finally make some time to see them.

I did get TOM today so hope to see a loss on the scales on Monday. It'd be a relief to know that everything is working. I know that my pants are miraculously getting bigger, its like a magic trick. I can't fit the next size down yet though... I can't wait to be a proper S16 again, and then a S14 is my best dream. I've kept one pair of S14 pants from years ago and I can't wait to fit them (although they aren't very fashionable haha).

anyway enough chatter, I'm off to sleep so I can workout in the morning !

I'm sure the scale will move down by Monday - just stay on plan and drink lots of water! Everything looks good otherwise and I loved your post from Nov.5th - keep that attitude up and you will accomplish your goals! I never like the aqua classes at my gym because my skin pruned up so fast and hurt! Glad you found something you like! Keep it up friend! Enjoy the weekend!

Small goals are the greatest.
I've heard how difficult and stressful IVF can be, and I admire you for making a productive change before giving it another go!
Best of luck to you!

Hey there! I am new to this site and trying to find people I can stay motivated with! How did you get your ticker as your signature?

Hey all
THanks for all the positive replies.

I'm having a good day.

Did my home cct this morning, and I stepped it up bit time. I did 30 min avg 153 heartrate. I was veeeery sweaty. I did extra step ups (my step is about a foot high) and did a little jump on each step up. I did lots of walking lunges pressups jumping jacks situps and some extra arm exercises. I skipped between each exercise, ihad to sit down a coule of times cause my heart rate went crazy! It was pretty hard but I felt pretty proud after.

The neighbors were all sitting in their back yard drinking and eating and I felt a bit goofy, but I did it anyway. GO ME!

Your home cct sounds so cool! It's amazing what you can find around the house hey? Great job :)
Lol at your neighbours - hey you never know you might inspire them :)

I was lying on our bed today doing my arm exercises and crunches for AGES before realising my curtains were open and the neighbours could see right in. Devastated! I can never look them in the eye again...

I think it was a good idea you sat down when the heart got out of control, be careful Anna.

Sorry Jess, couldn't resist, but you kinda had me with lying in bed and curtains open... What kind of exercise was that? :smilielol5:

Okay I've now managed to perv up Anna's diary by throwing innuendo at Jess.... kind of like a 2 for 1 special...

I'm still secretley weighin every day. oops told myself I wouldn't but I just can't help myself.

Anyway the scales keep fluctuating wildly (not downwards though blh), so I thought I'd write out my weights and dates so I can see if there is a pattern.

Sep15 - 99.7kg (219lbs)
Sep 21 - 96.5 (212lbs)
Sep29 - 96.5 (212lbs)
Oct 5 - 95.9 (211lbs)
Oct 19 - 95.7 (210lbs)
Nov 2 - 94.5 (208lbs)
Nov 11 - 94.5 (208)

When I look at it like that it doesn't seem quite so bad.... seems pretty good really. I don't think I can say I'm at a real plateau, it's only been 2 weeks at the same weight, I'll see what it is this week.

I feel a bit better now.

Funny how charting it or at least putting a data table together makes it seem better huh? your overall trend here is a net loss of 11 lbs so that is not a bad trend at all.

I spent the weekend at our family holiday cottage. We've decided to sell it because we don't use it enough so we've been going up there heaps to fix things up. I painted and gardened for hours and hours.Lots of squats and going up and down the ladder, so I know I worked out alot. My muscles were pretty sore by last night.

I weighed in again this morning, and still no change. ugh. I don't really want to change what I'm doing foodwise. I'm eating close to 1800 cals a day, and a bit more when I do lots of exercise. I'm active every day with dog walking and then my home cct 4 times a week. On my days off I do extra exercise, swimming or walking. I'm definately feeling fitter and stronger, but I'd really like to see a change in the scales. Its so frustrating. I know I just have to stay consistent and persivere (sp?) but i'm finding it de-motivating. 3 weeks at the same weight is DUMB!

However, I'm getting into the mountains with my sweet hubby . We leave this afternoon and will be hiking for 3 days (carrying all our supplies tent etc) and then we have to ride our bikes 20km to get back to the car. I expect to be pretty tired and sore when I next check in (which will be on the weekend).

Hope you all have a great week.

Anna

That sounds like a fun weekend with your husband. I love to go out walking for hours but don't like to carry things although I haven't tried since I lost weight so might be able to manage it better now.
I hope the weather stayed nice for your.

Hey all. I'm back!

Had a great time in the moutains. We were in an area on the west coast of the south island (NZ), where there was alot of gold mining in the late 1800's early 1900's. We walked up a track that went all the way up a mountain where people used to prospect for gold. We stayed in a hut near the top and then went up to the top of the mountain the next day. Awesome weather with 360 degree views of the Southern Alps and the Tasman sea. It was lovely.

I was definately alot fitter than last time I went into the mountains. Was able to just keep on going rather than needing lots of rest breaks, so that is very cool.

I didn't count calories, but I added them up when I got home last night, and haven't done much damage really. I'm hopeful of seeing a change on the scales this week....

I've come back motivated and happy to keep doing this cal counting and exercise thing. YAy. I was worried I might just let everything go and not come back here for a few weeks. I guess I'm really determined to get thinner and fitter.

Anna
