Should be all down hill from here

Hi there. It's Mike.

Sorry I flew off the handle those many months ago. Have had bad experiences with forums with reputations and I'm very sensitive to gender specificity.

Anyway, I've actually started my diet. I weighed in at 313 at a doctor's appointment a couple weeks ago. I went back to another doctor (not for a second opinion or anything, just went to a specialist the first time and then to my PCP) and they weighed me at 302. I'm like, "nice!"

I've stopped drinking regular soda in favor of something with zero calories that tastes almost as good as the regular. I'm trying my best to limit my junk intake like pizza or ben and jerry's. I'm also limiting myself to portions and no more eating to eat or when I'm bored. I chew gum for those moments.

It's pretty cold to go walk with my daughter for any period of time so I've hooked up the Wii Fit and will be spending an hour or two a day on it. Heck, it worked for my wife. She's lost 120 something pounds with the Wii Fit and dieting.

I quit smoking about 4 months ago. :hurray:

Instead of nothing which is my usual for breakfast, I had a yogurt and coffee, no sugar w/creamer.

Wish me luck!

Oh, my target is 180

Hey Mike! Big Star Wars nerd here :)

Congrats on the loss so far, that's great in just 2 weeks! I'm also a big fan of the Wii Fit, I use mine as much as I can (well done to your wife too) because it's fun! I play a fair bit of Wii Sports, the Tennis is choice and I love the baseball too. Hell anything that gets me off the couch is great :)

It's also great news you gave up the ciggies :sifone:

May the force be with you!

Jess :seeya:

Hi Mike :) Nice to meet you.

I've always wondered what kind of changes one might see when they simply decide to start making better overall choices, as opposed to a specific diet plan, which is the route that so many people choose to go.

I find that very admirable, and I wish you the best of luck as you work towards your goal!
