It's a Tuesday, my Weight Watcher weigh ins are on Tuesday and I've taken it upon myself to sort of 'start over' (among other reasons) since I reached my first 20lb loss. Unfortunate thing about this 20lb loss? I don't feel it, my clothes don't feel it. Reason being? I haven't really been exercising. This journal is hopefully going to include exercise. Be it by "walk away the pounds" videos when I'm being lazy to the treadmill when I feel up to it, to tae bo when I want a change. Far as weights go, thank gosh I've got a pantry with cans in it. I found a routine that I like, that involves weights and tho the cans are only 3?lbs it sure makes you feel it. Downside to not working muscles. I also want to use my body weight to help me along. It's about time I learn how to do at least one good push up. I started a dream of wanting to join the Navy, whether I can or not based on other circumstances it debatable, but I'd at least like to be able to pass the fitness/weight requirements no matter what.
From January 1, 2009 - April 30, 2009 I've lost 20.4lbs
Goal - May 5, 2009 - July 4, 2009 hoping to lose another 20lbs
I have family showing up for the July 4th weekend, family that feels the need to tell me how fat I am and yadda yadda. I feel like showing them up this year and proving that I can accomplish losing it.
Today's starting weight: 252.6lbs
Breakfast/Lunch (ate around 11am, so it was a brunch type deal)
1 raw egg, 1/4 cup 1% milk, vanilla, spice, 3 pieces white bread. [I made french toast]
1 cup or a little more sliced strawberries
1/4 cup [or less I'm really not sure but I don't use tons of it] pancake syrup
3 tbs whipped cream
4fl oz cranberry cocktail
8fl oz lipton ice tea
*I eat entirely way too much bread. However, I've been eating cereal every single morning for months now and I'm liking the new deal. However, I think I'll start using one egg, bit less milk, and 2 slices of white bread. Usually my egg breakfast choice is two over easy eggs, whipped light butter, olive oil, and two pieces toast. This cuts out one egg, butter, and oil. It also still lets me use my strawberries.
*Whipped cream isn't the smartest thing in the world, however, I did not go over board, it's the canned kind. I'm generally not a huge fan of canned whipped cream, I like cool whip. I might switch to light cool whip, but for the such small amount I use, I don't think it'd make much of a difference.
*Cranberry juice/ice tea, I typically try to stay away from sugary drinks because I'd rather use the extra calories for food. However, I really wanted OJ and we didn't have any, but I wanted juice. It didn't thrill me, I rather stick to water.
**So, less bread, no sugary drinks, use whipped cream sparingly.
Dinner
Peas
Applesauce
Chicken/rice/sourcream/cream of mushroom/cheese thing. (my Mother made it)
*Too many 'cream' based things in the chicken dish but I had water with dinner, so that's a plus. And the side dishes were pretty clean, can't go wrong with peas!
Exercise
10 minutes of 4 different upper body toning workouts 12x2.
*You're supposed to do it twice, but I'm a weakling so I'll work up to it.
Oops....
So, I went to put my dishes in the sink and walked past a pie. What kind might you ask? A pudding pie. Vanilla pudding made with 1% milk in a grahm cracker crust. With that evil can of whipped cream. So like any other person on a diet, I walked past it a few times, contemplating, reviewing what I've eatin so far today, weighing my options, mentally weighing myself. Then cut a slice. And by slice I mean "the pies not all that round so from back to front it's short, that means the piece has to be wider to make up the difference." guh.
*I need to kick the sugary habits. Sometimes I do SO well for months, it's just getting back on the wagon that is the hard part!
