Thanks Stingo - it really is working for me! FINALLY! LOL Yesterday was the first time I did a yoga video, usually I stick to Pilates type stuff for the core. I don't like the spiritual stuff they connect to it sometimes, but this video didnt do that. They weird part was the fire breaths I think you call it - I didnt feel dizzy or anything but I would think breathing in and out like that you would pass out. I also am starting to feel sore in my mid section, so Im sure tomorrow will be worse.
 
Yeah the breath of fire is umm... interesting. The Yee video I mentioned is a workout video - I don't recall much if any spirtuality content.
 
Thanks! It just really sucks that I have to go through the soreness of my legs again :mad: It didnt seem like I over did it, but I sure did! And sitting at a desk all day not stretching and moving is making it so much worse. I didnt even do all the lunges they encouraged!! It's going to take a few more days till they're healed so tonight I'm gonna do upper body and soak me legs!

LIL!! OMG how are you chicky?? Yeah sitting all day totally kills me, and makes me so lazy by 5pm!
 
SO I didnt do anything last night :( I was supposed to do the bike but I went food shopping and came home pissed at how much I eneded up spending! Then I made eggplant lasagna wich took an hour to prepare!! I was so exahusted after and my shoulder were pinching from stress I had to just sit and relax after. TOday will be better.

HI SHELLSY!! i'm good, thanks! looks like you are doing well too! haven't been able to come on during the day anymore b/c of this new job that i have, well it's not new anymore, but that's the reason why i haven't really been on too much. i'm gonna try to pop in at night here and there to keep up with what's been going on. oh yeah and don't sweat it if you miss a days workout. i know, b/c i have the same stuff happening to me and it does get frustrating, but just stick with it and you'll be fine. this weather is what's making me lazy too and my friggin job...lol! i'm tired of sitting on my ass all day at work...haha! so, i feel your pain...haha!

So I just did a crazy leg/cardio video but didnt get through it - I hurt my groin a few days ago getting in and out of my sisters truck. I noticed it didnt feel right as it was happening but I thought it was just from being tired because before that I had worked out. So today as I was doing lunges it got worse so I stopped when I couldn't bare it. I didn't know what it was until I explained it to the hubby-so he had me stretch it out a Bit. Stinks cause now it hurts to even use my left leg to go up steps. I can do squats and stuff with out it hurting - so any suggestions as to what I should and shouldn't do?? I so don't want to loose this momentum I have going.

i'd say just take it easy, maybe work upper body until it gets better. it should feel better after a few days of rest. just target maybe different areas for now. good luck to ya!
 
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Nice to see you are back at it too. I agree with Lillian, give it a rest and target your upper body. Soaking in a tub might help, as well as motrin if you don't have any problems taking it. Where are you at progress wise?

What about yoga, with more stable postures (those where you don't have to lift a leg off the ground). Or strength training with the muscles you can use - like your squats, etc. The minute you feel any pain though, STOP. You may want to do lighter weights too - but see how you feel.
 
Its much better now, but I haven't worked it out. I can go up stairs with out it hurting. Yeah Stingo the pilates thing might be a better approach for now.

Missy - its funny driving to work I was thinking about my goals and re setting them now that I have found for now what is working for me. My overall goal is to get into the 130's but Im in the 150's now. Back when I set the 130's goal I was in the 40's :rolleyes: . Crazy how it just packed on. I think I know what really didnt help either - I stopped taking my birth control which I have NEVER done so I think my body reacted to it.

I think each monday I'm gonna set a weekly goal! I'll let yas know what this weeks is later!
 
Ok so I've been basicly following Adam's diet from JP fitness forum, but haven't been following to a T which is my goal for this week!! I really dont have the time or energy to log my meals, but I will be completely HONEST with a simple yes or no at the end of the day! :D Any questions about the diet go ahead and ask! So that is this weeks goal, including the weekend!! And to boot I will weigh myself tomorrow morning to track my results, although so far today I've been on point.

That's a tough one - the only ones I know of involve a cable machine of some sorts, unless you'd want to try chinups.

hi shellsy! well i've always used what's on trainerlynn's website. not sure where she went, but i still use her advice and workouts. click on the muscle group at bottom of page and it will give you different exercises for that area. hope that helps a bit.
